I spoke with the previous owner of that car and he was only asking $37k on this forum. Typical "EAG move" by these dealers smh.

This was the forum thread: https://www.m3post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1781126

Their advertised $50k is definitely a wishful ask, but factoring the E9x M3 value appreciation with the rarity of a slicktop and extended Palladium, high 30's sounds about right. I'm surprised nobody snatched the deal from the OP of the forum post.

Several dealers are following the EAG move: Driveanything, Udrive automobiles, several BMW dealers etc. Driveanything themselves have a 2013 JB E92 stripper with 11k miles listed for $75k, the sticker price itself was only $68k!

He's been flipping a lot of E90s. I suspect the logic is, wait long enough and someone will pay close to the asking price. He's done it enough before, I got my E90 from him and I know that there was about a $10k premium he made on the car after shipping and repairs.

Not a slick top, but I saw the car in person and it was clean. The interior color was the main turnoff.

FWIW every person on these forums posts stuff like this then a few months later the cars are gone. There was a white E90 slicktop that was listed for $55k that was purchased from a forum member, listed by a dealership and it eventually sold. That $75k car has 11k miles and is a ZCP 6MT speed cloth car. Someone will pay it eventually because it's an EAG spec car.

Moral of the story - forum jockeys make bad used car salesmen.

Yup. It's clear there are different markets for these cars, but I don't think the outrage at the pricing is necessarily misplaced either. There will ultimately always be a buyer I'm sure. It's just unlikely it'll be anyone who peruses these forums.

Aren't there something like only 180 ZCP 6MT e90's that exist? Helps justify the price some...
