MAP sensor replacement. Throttle valve question
I have a charge plausibility code. Cold start. ISTA says check “connectors, and “plugs”. And replace pressure sensor.
So I have the pressure sensor out. And waiting for the new one. How difficult is it to remove the throttle valves and replace gaskets that go to the block. Do all 4 throttles pull off together? |

I guess no one has attempted the throttle valve gaskets. I’m going to do this, and I’ll make a DIY. The idle control , and both actuators need to be removed. And the wiring harness needs to come up fully. I’ll report back with pictures and help on DIY Last edited by bmwpower603; 11-03-2019 at 03:15 PM.. |

The throttle gaskets are rubber profile seals, given their design and material they're not known to start leaking. But if you want to replace them, no big deal its not a hard job, but it's not likely going to fix your fault. You don't need to remove the actuators and you don't need to fully remove the wiring harness.
