Best Year And Options?

Hi all, I'm currently driving a 2006 325i and i have already decided my next BMW will be a M3 sedan, will most likely be going CPO as i did with my current car. My questions are, what if any are the best years to go for and what options are best based on your experience ?

I bought a cpo M3. Really happy with it. Mine is 6MT AW, fox red, nav, park distance control, ipod and premium sound,... I love all my car's options and I pretty much use them all everyday

Late '09 fully optioned would be my advice. I can foresee a bit of problems with the auto stop /start system with the newer models.

I believe model year 2010 they started integrating the new iDrive system? I'd say go for that. Specifically, go for a ZCP model if you can :]

If you don't use it then I don't see how it would be an issue. So you could just get it deactivated (if yours is defaulted to ON) or if you're in the US then yours is already defaulted to OFF...

If anything, don't the 2011.5's have a better starter?

if i was in the used market, the only thing i would care about beyond condition and price (with the options i wanted of course), would be the newer navigation (having had it on my older 335).

i have a 2011 and it's solid. first year with the new tails and other small updates (except those given in 2011.5). with that said, you can retrofit the tails and the other stuff is minor.

I don't really think year matters on the E9X M3, ive seen solid ones thruout the year-range so far.

Alot of -08s out there are running HIGH MILES on ODO. And my -09 has been awesome so far *knock on wood*!

Theres also been some issues with all years to, even with the 11's, so buy whatever you get a good deal on.

I should have added that this will be my daily driver 12 months of the year so it will see plenty of snow and ice covered roads, my current 325i has been a great car to drive in these conditions with winter tires, plus i have a 2 year old little dude to occupy the back seat.

I had an 08 with no issues at all and think all years are good. The new iDrive kills the old one, if that matters to you.....Good luck......Steve

No matter what year you get, you'll love the car. Go with the whatever you get the best deal on.
