I have a rear diffuser so it doesn't look like it sticks out too far. If you don't have a diffuser I wouldn't recommend it. Just my opinion.

Yes, his axle-back was intended for an E92.

He had it on an E90, but E92 axle-backs/tips usually stick out more on an E90 (E92 axle-backs/tips are slightly longer than compared with E90 ones).
