e90 m3 vs e39 Dinan s2 M5

Just a fun hypothetical comparison. From magazine tests, look like the e90 would beat it with anything from a dig but the m5 has a big upper hand in 5-60. Anyone have an experience racing one?

my last car was a Dinan S2 E39 M5. i have the E92 M3 now so bc i didn't have them at the same time i wasn't able to race them but i can compare them. def if you are good at launching and have sticky tires the S2 will take the M3 to 60. the tq in the S2 is massive esp with the diff. i would have to roll out in 1st then shift 2nd and take off otherwise it would just sit there and spin

after 60 i think it would be pretty close but still your talkin about 470hp vs 414hp. i forget the tq it had but i know it is more

now a modded M3 that would be different story. i think a S2 M3 vs the S2 M5 would be a better race and the M3 would win bc the stock M3 wouldn't be far off the S2 M5

but for throw you back in your seat kinda feel the S2 M5 wins hands down. overall better car handling etc i like my M3 better. i do miss that wild child let it loose feel from my S2 M5 though
