Tank is full when I go onto track in order to have good front/rear balance. So car is at ~3575lbs when I come back from track... (with me 200lbs.).

I'm at 3350 with 1/2 tank of gas, all carpet, dash, door panels, AC, heat, stereo and communications in place, GTS cage and seat delete, gutted trunk and gutted sound deadening in rear seat area. I also deleted my wipers and washer reservoir. Based on your build I would expect your car to be closer to 3000 to 3100 lbs.

Did you gut your interior and carpet? Full cage or 1/2?

The E92 M3 is a TT3 car and due to its nature can't really seriously compete in TT2/TT1.

No carpets, my half cage (6p bolt-in) is perfect.
A full cage would add another ~60lbs to the front (but is needed when you want to do wheel to wheel racing!)

I can hop into a C6 Z06 bone stock and do sub 2min lap times at VIR. At the end of the day the E92 M3 is a very fast family hauler

Mine is fully gutted, including sound deadening, heater/AC core, doors have been gutted to the bare skin. It's a tin can in there aside from the dash which has also been gutted and the center console. I kept them in simply because I like how it looks.
Car has a full cage. (My build thread shows a bunch of pics and lists all the details of the car on the first post: https://www.m3post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1158445 ) |

I was noodling around on the NASA TT Class calculator. if I've done my homework correctly, I believe I can just squeeze into TT1 right under the 6.0:1 cutoff. You know what I think saves me? Don't laugh------I have a sedan and you can add +0.2 point for a 4-door production car....hahahaha! |

I remember speaking with you 1.5 years ago about your build and epic time at the Glen. Love the build and the perseverance towards your goal. I will be placing an order for the seat base. Im 6ft1 and need to sit lower myself and you created a great piece!
Cannot wait for you to be Sub 2 at WGI. Headed there in Oct to redeem myself from 1.5 months ago as my DCT was over heating like a mofo. Started with 2:10, 2:09, 2:08. Then LIMP......I stress to all who have a DCT...check all the seals on the trans especially the hard to see area on the very top. Had to get mine dropped to freshen her up. |

looks like its just heat jacket that is cut with velcro sewn into it. looks like he's pretty handy at making stuff, likely custom.
is there a huge need for this? less maintenance? did these solve a problem that happened in the past?

Specifically when you have a red flag and have to come to a complete stop on track with red hot rotors! Joints were bone dry. I just bought a heat shield for steel braided oil hoses that you can wrap around hoses (with the Velcro) and I cut a hood out of it. Never had an issue again. All the online race parts distributors have it, get a shield for a large hose. Thanks!

Flat bottom is a must if you want a functional diffuser.
We developed and built that in-house. Thanks

Update on Time Trial racer E92 M3
For the 2019 season (TT and ST3) I did a lot of upgrades.
A full cage was on the list w/o adding too much weight in unwanted spots. So I took the entire harness out and stripped it by 24lbs! Lots of work... We build the full cage in our shop and it came out beautiful. TIG welded and only added 38lbs. I stripped everything I can.. To get weight distribution correct the glass had to go so we installed lexan window. Took around 18lbs off vs. OEM. Interior fits like a glove.. Had 1st event at VIR 2 weeks ago in TT and ST3 and car ran ok (2:01.30). Car is much stiffer and I need to tweak MCS to get it right... Total fun to drive!
