Mid-pipe / X-pipe options for E93
Can anyone suggest mid-pipe / x-pipe options for the E93 M3?
I understand that due to the additional bracing down there, some pipes only fit the E92. |

Also, has anyone tried splicing in an H-pipe connector before the stock X-pipe, similar to how the Akrapovic exhaust system is designed?

H pipe is generally not considered to be as good as an X. No one adds one. Most x pipes have the x in the stock position but some testing shows more torque if it is located closer to the headers and a few x pipes offer that. Were I buying today, I would buy such an x pipe; I plan to relocate my x to the forward position just before the pipes split off around the trans.
Don’t know the E93 question. I have seen the added bracing but don’t think it would get in the way because an aftermarket pipe used the same space as a stock pipe. |
