E85 tunes make a lot more power than gas tunes on forced induction motors because they allow more boost and more timing with the same compression ratio. E85 without a tune makes a little more power than a gas tune because it allows the motor to always hit the gas tune timing target and the added volume of E85 cools the intake charge.
On NA motors with E85 tune, E85 adds a little power due to added timing and cooling. On NA motors with pump gas tune, E85 adds a few percent power due to always hitting the pump gas timing target and added cooling. |

I currently have the Stage 2 at home(NOT INSTALLED), Also in talks with them they highly recommended getting bearings done before doing E85 tune, which is another $2500-$3k So I am going to have a delay, now I feel its smarter to install stage 2 as then do bearings, next, then when I have the funds for the rest Ill do the E85 tune and possibly the Stage 3 upgrade. On top of all that I have an E93, and My Recaro seats arrived and I cant install them unless I add a roll bar, lol!!! So before I do any of the above I need a custom roll cage/roll bar that doesn't look like utter shit with the top down. I am thinking something like a half cage but instead of being square on top it would have hoops like the Z4/Miata/roadsters do I would hate to ruin the look of this baby:

Apparently, its not just injectors buy also the pump at stage 3 supercharged power levels. I am not sure of the details on the pump since this is a newer style pump with a control unit. Maybe just adding a helper pump will increase output enough, but that is something to look into when running E85 due to the larger fuel volume that must be pumped.

Something is wrong since a CF DS won't make that kind of difference, but I can't tell from the dyno what the problem is. If the dyno was in rpm instead of mph, we might know more, but a review of the run files might be required.

I have a 1 piece CF drive shaft, does not give gains like that. Something else is the cause, will make you launch out of the hole a little better due to the elastic effect since it twists more and releases the power over a slighty longer period of time. Gets rid of the clunk the oem shaft has as well.

the illusion of the higher dyno numbers after the carbon driveshaft is because there is less drivetrain loss of power. pretend for the sake of discussion typical loss is 15%. there is less mass to move with a carbon shaft. pretend it is now 12% loss. 3% less loss is like 18 horsepower "gain" on that powerful of a build.

Probably about right, but what we care about is what we put to the rear wheels, so if we reduce drivetrain loss, I am OK with calling it a power adder. I would not be surprised if the gain from the lighter DS is along the lines of 2-3%. BMW went to a CF DS with the F80 M3, and I am sure there is a reason though perhaps as much fuel economy related as performance related.
