Can you use TPMS sensors from different manufacturers-- Gurus Chime in

The reason for this post is because I am selling these tpms sensors coming off a 2010 Panamera S and I have some track wheels without TPMS sensors that I'm considering placing these in to see what happens.

My question is, will these work on our cars as well?

They look identical to our OEM tpms sensors. I've seen a number of after market ones as well. Will these need to get programmed into our cars in order for them to work properly or is it as simple as just putting them in whatever rims were running and the tpms error light will not come on?
