So after 2 years of buying season pass to NYST, I will not do that this year. This year I would like to diversify and add track days at Lime Rock. Both tracks are about 70 minutes from my house and are close enough and reduce travel and logging expenses.

I am looking for track days that mostly maximize the driving time.

There are many organizations that put together track days. I would love to hear your recommendations.

Lime rock is typically shared with the lime rock club. If you want substantial track time you can Join the club. Otherwise, most orgs that run there have 4-5 20-30 min sessions per group. Some clubs will run an open track day with coaching, like David murry

This is what I am looking for.
A club typically has high cost to entry.
at NYST day we do 7 sessions of 20 minutes and even that is not enough track time for my taste :-)

Open track day is ideal to what I am looking for

Check out the dates as there are many days spent at Limerock for 2019 season and I mean MANY!
I'm also an Instructor with SCDA.
Let me know if you have any questions, be happy to help.

So far the P DH research is coming up empty handed. The size is not ideal for 19", the cost would be hard to justify, and I have plenty to learn on the R888R and Proxes RR.

The RR is a real dilemma, the front size is not ideal, 235/35/19 is narrow but these tires were categorically the fastest at NYST last year.

With the ADOR8 and the R888R I was into the 1:38-1:39 and the first run with the RR i was at 1:37.

So it looks like for my track set i will be focusing on the RR for now. On the street set/Rain set i currently have the PSS4S but will mount the ECSTA 275/30/19 and Yoko 295/30/19 cheap set I still have from last year and run those to the cords.

I have 2 x R888R 265/30/19 fronts I got sub $300 last year and will have to get rears if I can find them sub $300.

Once I cord all the stock I have in the basement, it will be interesting to figured out what to try next.

So far I have 16 track days on the Schedule April-Oct so I am sure to need tires again mid summer.

Another dilemma is how to cord the single PSS4S 265/30/19 I still have without buying another one.

Once I am comfortable at LRP as I am comfortable at NYST, I am very interested to know what times I can run safely. Since LRP is so much more established than NYST and has such a rich history, my lap times will be more meaningful in a broader context of HPDE.

Been watching lots of LRP YouTube videos to mentally learn the track. I addition, the search "Lime Rock crashes" yield plenty of "weak" points along the track.

I love LRP so much. I wish it wasn't so far from me and that my car is too loud to run there most of their days.

The most dangerous part of the track IMO is the the crest at the top of the uphill. You have got to have the wheel absolutely pointed straight.

Next time you go out, post some videos and I can share my notes. I have only been there once, but I had a coach that grew up on the track and he taught me ton. I have the NASA TT3 track record. We didn't get on video.

I know you love you Ceramic Brakes, but as others have mentioned a smaller brake kit will provide sufficient stopping power and 18" rims open up a lot of tire options. I do think you should hold off on slicks for a while. As you said, there is plenty to learn on 100-200tw tires.

Here's a video of my second fastest laps.

Great video Moose.
We have jump at NYST and it is dangerous as well. I will do my best to finish the turn go straight over the hill.

I plan to video and data log all my sessions this year. Be happy to share and get help.

The 19" is here to stay as well as my interior and the stereo. :-)

Boy your car is loud. Get some interior it will help with the hearing later on. :-)

Which club are you going with?
I will visit LRP often this year. Unfortunately cant take e92m3 there with my catless x-pipe due to the noise regulations but will be there with my white 340i.
This is my new daily driver that replaced my 135i. Remember that car?
Last june i blew the engine at Pocono

I'm glad you're expanding your portfolio. Learning one track really well still limits your development as a driver.

I've driven LRP and feel the M3 is much better suited to big boy tracks like Watkins Glen.
ARPCA is doing an event there and on Fridays they have open lapping so you can run as many hours as you'd like

Another option is Palmer but again, the same comment applies vs LRP

The day has finally arrived.
Tomorrow would be my first 2019 track day.
weather looks decent.
i am going to use my road set with Michelin PS4S, 275/30/19 front and 295/30/19 rear.

My track set has the Proxa RR and I am not ready for slicks yet.

Temp forecast is 50 first session climbing to 60.

First time with SCDA.

Are you getting an instructor? So you went with your street tires instead of your track tires? How was it?

I had a great time with SCDA today
The weather was perfect.
SCDA ran 3 groups today
Inter 1, Inter 2 and Advanced
No novice group
Everyone was driving solo.

Best laps from each session:
Session 1 - 1:04.xx
Session 2 - not sure how but I lost the session
Session 3 - 1:03.7
Session 4 - 1:03.3

MDM mode on. not ready to take it off yet. ny the end if the day the traction control light was on quite a bit :-)

I am sick and tired of my GoPro 5.
No matter what I do, the sound is inconsistence. The lighting was ok.
Synchronization between the AiM Evo5 and the GoPro video is iffy at best and so time consuming. I am tired of fiddling with it.

Basically I have two sessions, 3 and 4, to analyze.

This was my first day on the 3.62 rear ratio and I got to use all the gears from 3 to 7. The DiffsOnline 10 clutch racing differential allowed me to put power to the ground in 3rd and 4rd after big band. It is weird sensation but it works.

I can't wait for 4/22 day and trying slicks.
I just hope we get the same weather.

SCDA says that the weather is guaranteed...

Front driver PS4S- not too bad after 100 minutes.
