Thanks. Muffler shop did the best they could to tuck them. Tips were 9.5in long and were cut to closest point on where Y starts. Diffuser might be my only option and blacked out cans hide themselves pretty well.

JL Audio XD600/6 Install
Purchased the Amp and Harness from fellow forum member. Technic Harness makes it into truly plug and play. No wires to cut, ground connection is pretty easy and positive wire is easy to run to the battery.
Overall pretty simple Install - took me less than an hour. Used Velcro tape to hold it in place with stock amp bracket. Amp fits perfectly at the stock amp spot and has a complete stock look after you put everything back. Impression: I am not a big Audio guy but still can tell a difference between good and great. Setting are based on some recommendations from other threads. Will run it with stock speakers for some time. Overall, good improvement on the sound quality from base HI Fi amp. Base got a lot cleaner on higher volumes. System could use better front tweeters or full front stage. I ran earthquake sws-8xi and dls r4 on my 335i long time ago. Thinking about giving Focal's a try this time. |

Service History
Lucky to have majority of the service records for my car. Little OCD kicked in and got these organized this past weekend. . I covered all the time stamped/mileage interactions in the summary and receipts are all safe in the binders.

Rod Bearings Replacement - MRF
I just had my rod bearings and motor mounts replaced yesterday by Malek at MRF Engineering. Dropped the car off on Sunday evening and picked up @3:30pm Monday evening.
Current Mileage @ 42.5k miles. Car had all 5k oil changes its entire life. Shop and Malek - It is a very clean and organized Shop. Malek is very thorough and explained everything for the service he is going to perform in detail. Service was completed exactly within the time estimated and as quoted. I was provided a detailed bill for the work. I received my old bearings and they looked worn. Specially #3 Top and bottom and #7 Top. After the service - Engine is running and revving smoothly. New motor mounts are showing noticeable reduction in NVH. I cannot recommend MRF Engineering for this job enough and drove 4+ hours to get this done. Service Performed: Clevite/Mahle Bearings with ARP Bolts OE Oil Pan Gasket/Oil Pane Pickup O Rings/Hardware Engine Mounts Power Steering Fluid Drain/Fill Coolant Drain/Fill Wheel Alignment Also Replaced Battery and Registration. |

Exhaust Tips update
Was contemplating to add a diffuser to hide the tips... Ended up sticking to OEM look. IMO diffuser by itself looks incomplete and goes better with upgraded wheels and front lip.
So here we are with new Tips. These are 80mm single wall compared to 90mm double wall. Outer tips are shorter which makes these look tucked in. Again opinions welcome. I added the link below just in case If it helps another member make a decision. Tips were shipped from outside of U.S but shipping was really fast - 4 days. Mr12Volt P2000 CIC - Carplay/with backup Camera
Installed this unit few weeks back. Updates the infotainment experience with Apple Carplay and backup Camera.
Audio Quality is greatly improved compared to Aux Cable input. Overall installation is straight forward but I ran into issues during installation that specifically applies to my car. Previous owner had aftermarket ipod integration box installed. This unit was trying to use the same input as ipod integration (CD changer option) and took me a while to figure out. One thing I will share is that Customer service from Mr12Volt was top notch as they helped me figure out the problem. Screen Quality is amazing, unit is very responsive and overall looks like very OEM. Unit does have some cons – Mic splitter I am using is from carsara unit and Bluetooth call quality is not good. Mr12 unit does comes with aftermarket mic but decided not to install it(want to keep OEM look in the car). This is a weekend car, so I typically don’t make calls. Second issue I had was bass output is low for any audio file. I had to adjust the bass through my JL amp. I was able to rectify this issue, but this will not work for everyone.
