Alone in Utah?

I asked in my intro thread about members in Utah.. Zero replies. In the last 3 years I've seen 3 e9X m3s. First was a Limerock. About 3 years ago. 2ND, a white e90(I don't have all the colors memorized yet) last year. Finally a Jerez black E93 just today. Do none of you live here!?

Can't fit 18 kids and 3 wives in an M3. I kid. I kid.

There are a few hardy souls who have M3's in the SLC area. We'd get them at the BMW driving schools in Vegas back in the day (1990's-early 2000's). Weather would seem to be a deterrent is my guess.

I terrorized a couple of mountain passes up at Park City a few years back. So much fun even at altitude.

Parleys canyon is awesome. Taking the E92 up Provo canyon for the first time Sunday morning. Used to blast it every weekend in the E46.

I live right at the mouth of American fork canyon.. From my house, I'm less than 35 min from 3 other double lane, 65mph twisty canyons.

I know exactly where, that is a beautiful part of the United States and I have fond memories of my drive through there. It may happen I am in those parts again and if so I'll drop a line. My folks live in CO. Wife and I are thinking a trip to Grand Canyon at some point.

I bought my Space Grey E90 ZCP in SLC and drove it back here to The STL, one year ago...So there used to be at least (1) more there, in the past.

Didn't see your other thread. Congrats on the M3. I live near Logan Ut. I think I'm the only e92 in the valley.

I live in NYC but think about moving to SLC all the time. It seems that most of the year your city is warmer. How are the roads and overall driving conditions for being an enthusiast?

Well.. the winters can be pretty shitty. But only for a couple months. The rest of the year is FANTASTIC! Canyons everywhere, mostly well paved. traffic is only shitty on main roads at rush hour.

I'm up in Davis County. I see 1 or 2 every month up here.

There are a good number of E9X M3's in the SLC area, most post on the 'Utah BMW Enthusiast Group' on fb.

Driving an M3 in Utah is easy. Just have a second set of winter wheels/tires.

Not alone. I am in Bluffdale right on the border of SL and UT county. As previously mentioned search for the UBE group on Facebook. If you are looking to meet up with people you can search for Eurobrews as well. The Utah Associated of Euros group has a strong presence in Utah County, getting together Wednesday nights at In n Out in Orem (I believe) and the first Wednesday of each month at a special gathering with the details posted 24 hours prior.

Note that with most of the get togethers things like unnecessary revving/burnouts/donuts will get you booted and shunned. The BMW/Euro community in Utah is really quite civil and some of the coolest people around. I have made great friends over the years.

For the NY guy considering moving to Utah the road are decent, and from what I understand they will be lightyears ahead of NY roads. Just buy a cheap $5K beater and park the M3 for crap days OR do winter tires. I have the beater option and it is the best and makes me appreciate the M3 more.

Awesome! glad to hear there's more of us around here. I'm in cedar hills, not too far from you. I'll check out the FB group for sure. I also went with the beater option.

Yeah that’s not far at all! When I said (I think) in my previous post I meant I think the In n Out in Orem. I know they get together on Wednesday’s at In N Out and I don’t know how many show up on a given weeknight. The UAE monthly meet gets a good showing every time. I’ll probably go to the Eurobrews this Saturday morning. It’s in downtown salt lake at Raw Bean. The Audi guys will be there too. The weekend before last there was a good group of guys.
