Hey Everyone,
So recently I've noticed that my car's voltage was reading lower than usual, but only after starting up and moving off ( Starts and holds at 14.XV then goes to 13.6V ). At the same time heard a new noise coming thru, Thought might be the belts, so popped the hood and heard this. Cannot be sure where its really coming from , but does sound like its from the bypass valve actuator. Just wondering if anyone has encountered this before? Absolutely |

I think I speak for everyone here, when I say STFU and go purchase something else if you're waiting on Stage 2 from Mike and the BPM Sport gang.
He's gone over this time and time again, to the point of being driven off the forums for a few months because people felt entitled to try and pressure him into the Stage 2 hype. Go away. -Duke |

If we wants to keep posting awesome videos of Stage 2, then maybe he should not get so offended when people ask to purchase it

As of today, 5-Feb-2021, my HARROP SC is no longer making any boost. The bypass valve actuator rod doesn't seem to move anymore. I followed the actuator reinitialize procedure with no luck. Even with the ignition on, and cycling the throttle pedal to WOT a few times, the Actuator rod doesn't move. I'm not sure if it's the HARROP ECU, the Actuator or something else? I have an e-mail into HARROP.

Yes, I did purchase my Harrop kit from BPMSport. Thank you for your offer to help resolve the issue. I'll forward to you the e-mail I sent to Harrop. Many thanks.

With the help of Mike Benvo from BPMSport, my Harrop SC kit is now making boost once again. The issue turned out to be a loose power wire connection that feeds both the intercooler pump and the bypass valve actuator. Mike asked me a few questions, and then pretty much nailed the root cause right away, because the intercooler pump was not running when the ignition was turned on. At first we thought it might be a bad relay or a fuse.
However, after opening up the DME wiring loom box, and removing the salmon relay (to which the SC kit's hot power wire is connected), the intercooler pump started running again when the ignition was turned back on. Squeezing the connector made the pump turn on and off. So - bingo - it was a lose a connection. It's all back together now and back making boost once again. Many, many, thanks to Mike Benvo for contacting me, his high degree of professionalism, and his willingness to help me debug the issue. Mike lived up to his great reputation, is very knowledgeable and was also generous with his time and talent. Thanks again Mike. . PS: It should be noted that the shop that installed my kit did NOT solder the connections and instead opted for a quick connect solution. After 5+ years the connection came loose. It can also be seen that the blue quick connect clasp was not closed and seated correctly. The kit installation instructions explicitly call for soldered connections which was not done by the install shop and will need to be redone. In the photos below, both of the SC kit connections for the throttle position sensor and intercooler pump / bypass valve regulator power feed can be seen covered with black electrical tape. .

My pleasure Mark, glad I could be of assistance. Those of you that purchased the kit from us, always feel free to reach out for support. We are always here to help you, even if it's five years later as in Marks case
I have put my Supra back in storage and picked up the M3 a couple days ago. Just absolutely love this car. Hoping to tackle the Bosch Motorsport Injector install in the next week or so and dial her up a bit more!
