So true. One lap at Willow Springs and I had to rip that VR headset off because if I kept going, I would have totally barfed!!

That's funny. I'm fine on the road courses, but 20 minutes with Dirt Rally and I get the cold sweats.

I had actually decided to get a rig right before all this started. Have no idea what I'm looking for yet. Any recommendations or suggestions on good resources to look into to try to start figuring this stuff out?
Pretty sure an Xbox controller can be hooked up to the PC.

Thanks, I saw you added me on steam.
dogbone and I played a few quick races in AC on friday. He has a private server setup.

Anyone else in for a private race in AC?

I'll setup a discord channel for anyone who joins also. My discord #5512 if anyone wants to add for when we setup a race.

When the wheel experiment doesn't work I'll try the Xbox controller! Pretty sure I could improve my real life times if I could somehow adapt one to my car

A voice chatroom basically, if you have a headset/mic you can talk and listen to everyone playing vs typing into the in-game chat.

I got setup on Discord after you told me about it.

I'm waiting on a couple other people and then let's see what we can get going.

But like I said, I'm happy to join someone's server too!

Ok two questions on AC:

1. How do I switch it out of automatic?
2. Not really a question - but a preemptive sorry for anyone I race & take out...

Before you start your session on track, under Summary click on Realism. From there you should be able to switch to manual and play around with aids like TC and ABS etc.

Anyone playing rFactor 2? Looks like they have an M2 CS Racing - very intriguing for me... How does the game compare to AC?

I really like RF2. To me it has the best physics and FB of all the major sims. Similar to AC in that a lot of the content is mods you download, just less overall content.

Took a bit of fiddling but got it up and running. Like what I have seen so far but having an issue with the force feedback on my wheel - it's at full will not adjust down. Looks like some others have had that issue so going to keep working on it a bit.

My PC is one of those slow $150 tiny brick things and I'm not blowing any money on a wheel and good driving sim pc setup right now, so GT Sport on PS4 it is!

Get on Gran Turismo Sport tonight in the lobby beginning at 7pm and look for me, my username is ThereAre4Lights. Help crowd out the larries!

After GTS, Project Cars 2 is my favorite "sim" right now

iRacing has become the gold standard for good reason, but it's getting to be srs bzns

Luck Dog has a Sim racing league in iRacing. We're currently running the 718 GT and RS3 TCR this season. Last night we had a full 50 car field on Lime Rock.

If anyone is in the PNW and wants in, we also run a weekly race for Avants members in Asetto Corsa. Typically oddball car/track combinations. This week it's 70's TransAms cars at Highlands Short. Last week it was 911 3.0 RS at Watkins Glen.

That sounds fun. I know NASA is doing an online league as well, but only with MX5's..

I like the idea of a new track and car every week!
