Maybe if someone is tailgating you you should consider getting out of the left lane and let them pass. Stop perpetuating the douchebag view of BMW drivers.

How likely is it that I will break the trim when attempting to remove it? It feels like a decent amount of force must be used to get it off?

It's a very useful mod. I'm glad I did it. And I used this feature during some heavy rain driving through Ohio on the interstate. I think it helps in heavy downfall as well as fog.

Totally agree that the rear fogs are useful in heavy rain and dark highways where it is tough to see the cars ahead of you.

I don't drive my M3 much in really bad weather (I'd rather drive my fwd Civic), but it's a good safety feature to have available as anything you can do to improve you being seen in really bad weather is a good thing.

For anyone with a 2010+ car who has done this mod, I'll buy your second, unused OEM Lego piece. $25 shipped so it can be the first time you get paid for a mod .

Make sure you remove the trim panel ABOVE the light switch panel first. Once you get a good hold on the left and right edges, wiggle from left to right - it's more of a sticky pull outwards towards yourself. Once the above trim is out, you can get a good hand hold on the actual light switch trim section and wiggle it the same. A bit of slow, but steady force was necessary. Don't forget to follow the same cutting procedure on the upper locked button to free the "force headlights on" option when in auto mode and the lights don't come on by themselves!

another happy camper!

Thanks!! This was actually my first mod

Since I live near a mountain and a lake, there is often a lot of fog. This is going to be quite safer. And maybe also to flash the occasional stupid a** that follows me with his high beams.
