My New M3 - Timeline and Details

Hi Guys,

I thought that I would just start a thread on my new M3 that covers of ordering, production, shipping and delivery of my new toy. I know its kinda lame, but I dont really care as I am super excited.

So anyway I ordered BMW M3 E92 "Pure Edition" which I think is an Australia only edition

Which is basically the same thing as the normal M3 with a number of the normal items removed - such as leather (however, SatNav comes standard in all M3's in Australia) All the removed options can be added to the order to make it the same as a normal M3. The pure starts at $125k AUD compared to the normal at $155k AUD, plus on road costs.

Anyway, below is a list of options that i have ordered.

M Drive
M-DCT (so the wife can drive it)
Dynamic Damper Control
Exterior Mirrors with automatic anti-dazzle
Comfort Access System
Black Leather Carbon Structure
Electric sunblind
Seat Heating
High-beam Assist
Adaptive Headlights
Music Interface to Smartphones
Internet Functionality
Competition Package
Novillo Leather - Black
Metallic Paintwork - Space Grey
Individual high end audio

So I am going to add posts with each of the steps as they occur or have occured adding some dates. This might be useful for other.

Tuesday 2nd April - According to the Wallenius Wilhelmsen Logistics tracking site, my car is in ZEEBRUGGE and will be loaded there. Not the BREMERHAVEN I was expecting. Anyone seen this before?

BTW, I am booked on the MORNING CINDY. Anyone else coming for the ride?

you must be ecstatic, as I was.
I took over a lease from a Zelander gentleman here in LA. He was going back to NZ, and I had to wait a month before I could get my hands on my current E90 M3. Was worth the wait.

Yeah its pretty cool pricing compared to the non Pure model, but still very expensive compared to the US.
