$10/Qt 10w-60 Castrol TWS oil...

As we all know S65's burn oil pretty quickly...Mine burns about a quart a month....I also drive ALOT... (Like 50k miles in 18 months ALOT, LOL.)

Got sick of driving to the stealership to pay $20 a quart, so I looked around...

I don't think you can endorse or link other companies on here but the very large company Amaz*n.com has boxes of 12 qts' for $125.99, and if your a Prime member you get free 2 day shipping....I ordered mine Monday and got it Weds....Works out to less than $11 a quart and its the older style Castrol TWS Edge, not the new style "BMW oil" the dealers switched to...

Figured I'd let everyone know.

Hello dkm.

Although I don't really burn much oil it's always good to have the right oil at home.
I just checked the website and the deal is still up

126 dollar for 12 liter of the liquid gold ?.

Thank you for the heads up.
I just ordered a case.
You should think about getting an share on the sales ?.

I assumed this was about the normal price as ecstuning has the whole oil change kit for $125.

Correct, this is the normal price. Anything more is a ripoff.

Ecs tuning is where I get my oil from. I run the new stuff "twin power turbo", what an ass clown name for oil btw! Lol. change oil every 5k. I have never had an issue with having to add oil between oil changes due to the engine burning it.

The newer BMW oil is running about $11-12 a quart at the same retailer. I have seen quite a few with free shipping to boot.

It's not just the oil that uses the "Twin Power Turbo" motto:

I purchased the $125.99 Castrol TWS package from Amazon using my Prime account. CA gets charged $10.08 for a grand total of $136.07 to the door. Just wanted to give the CA folks a heads-up.

Is it a "twin-scroll" turbo? Meaning 2 turbines on the hot side? Leads to MUCH less "lag" and much cooler temps hence a lot more boost capability?

If not, thats just ridicuous lmao.

Most high compression, engines burn a healthy amount of oil called "blow by"....JUST Oil getting passed the rings...S65s have very high compression & rev high so that combo leads to burning some...the amount burned depends on driving habits, individual engine clearances, and other variables...

If your turbo, they also commonly burn oil.

You never "topped off' your oil, between changes?

Not at 3k per month. That seems excessive. And a quart? Never. I top off at most 250mL per 3-4 track days maybe. Then it's time for an oil change.

Try O'Reilly Auto Parts for TWS 10-60. It's on the shelf at my local store.

If you aren't stuck on the BMW or Castrol brand, Amazon also has LiquiMoly 10W-60 in 5L jugs for $40.

That's cheap! I have been using liquimoly the last 4 oil changes with track days and holding up well. Next change I'll do blackstone.

Your driving almost 3000 miles a month as well. I thought I had the record lmao....

But In all seriousness. A qt/month maybe an exaggeration. Maybe SLIGHTLY LESS. Myou oil sensor will read below "topped off" for a few weeks maybe a little over a month. Then usually 1/2 qt tops her off...It says "+1 qt" but if i actually add a full, im wayyy... over but the one or two times I did accidentally over fill the excess did burn extremely fast.
