As we have previously reported, the 458 is powered by 4.5-liter V8 engine that produces 570 hp and 540 Nm of torque. The massive V8 is connected to a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission, which enables the car to rocket from 0-100 km/h in less than 3.4 seconds. If you keep your foot planted, the Italia will eventually top out somewhere in the neighborhood of 325 km/h (202 mph).

When I first saw it, I thought that is was kinda blah. It looked “weaker” than the 430, I thought.

After looking at it a few more times, it occurred to me that Ferrari/Pininfarina has designed it be smaller and sleeker than its predecessor; bucking the current design trend of trying to make a car look brutal, almost with a fake sense of toughness…ie, GT-R, EVO, Camero, etc. These designs, though satisfy the macho sensitivities of any gear head, in the end they seem frivolous and overwrought with underlying insecurities. It’s awesome to see Ferrari/Pininfarina is designing their cars to be slim, sleek, and beautiful again...just like the beautiful shape of a woman.

This came from Pininfarina’s website regarding their design brief on the new 458. “The design, created by Pininfarina, hinges on a compact, streamlined shape, which expresses the concepts of essentiality, efficiency and lightness that inspired the project.”

Cool. Starting to grow on me. Still don't like the headlights. Looks like they took em right out of a Gallardo.

I don't think it's ugly necessarily, but it's not as nice as the 430 Scuderia.

I think the Lambo 670-4 SV is stunning though.

But my prayers would be something like this

I have sinned alot but I would like to be given the opportunity to be forgiven. Please bless me with your kindness in the form of F458, SLS AMG and a Mclaren MP4-MC12. If you wouldn't mind, please add the BMW efficient dynamics concept as well. I would wash away my sins by tracking these cars on daily basis or I can I also wash away by daily driving it on public roads.

Great video, but it made the car look even uglier. Especially the last few seconds of it driving towards the camera.

Really all it needs is a great front bar + new headlights and it would have been great.
