Best Prices for Tires

I know tire Rack sponsers this section but has anyone found a better price. I need a set of PS2 19 for my Cayman S, and a set of PS2 18 for my M. Alot of track time on both cars this year. Thanks for your help, I quess we are still a capitalist society, let the best price and service win.

I am shopping for tires now, too, and have yet to find a better deal than Tire Rack (as long as you have a decent priced installer). You might check Discount Tire. They were only $10-15 over Tire Rack on some tires and they also install so might be a better deal in the long run.

I usually use tirerack and the prices are typically the lowest.
But.... I just called Costco, and they can order in OEM 18inc PS2s for $367 each, installed for $14, with road hazard warranty and nitrogen fill (and refills)

I can't say it enough, I think bang for buck the best street tires out there are the Bridgestone RE11s. I've purchased all my tires over the last six or seven years from tire rack. Great customer service and they ship them to your door.

Even after shipping, duties and taxes from ordering up here in Canada, Tire Rack is still the cheapest for me to deal with. Unless you have some sort of special hook up somewhere else or the items are on clearance/special, I don't think you're likely to find a better price.

You can also have them shipped directly to your installer, which I find more convenient.

We aim to be the lowest price and the best buyer experience overall (shipping time, product knowledge etc). Thanks to all for the positive feedback.

RE-11s are nice looking tires. A little less than PS2s - $1,132 vs $1,410 / set in 255 & 275/25-19. As has been noted before, they are a couple pounds heavier than comparable PS2s.

Is it possible to buy the tires and have them on hold in TireRack' s warehouse before shipping them to the install place within a few months?

May be an idea for a new service??

Not sure why you'd want to do that. They usually have pretty good stock. No sense paying for them until you need them, IMO. Ben?

Well the idea was to lock the price in and spare some space at home...

Good question. We can hold a placed order for up to a week to help ease any logistical issues for you, but cannot hold them for longer periods.

I always find that onlinetires.com has better prices than tirerack. Also their shipping is always less too.
