All depends on what your hobbies are. I love tinkering on my cars, but that's not to say that everyone who is a car enthusiast has the knowledge or more likely, the time to do so. Furthermore, working on a basic motor is a far cry from pulling apart your Lamborghini.

Here's mine. Renting in the bay is crazy so when a nice house comes up you take it, even if it only has a 1-car garage :-/ It's tight but it's enough to do basic maintenance and brake/suspension work.

I considered this jack previously and as I recall, the rubber block doesn't reach the jack points of the E92. How did you make it work?

It was just a general statement. Reminds me of the sticker/quote: "I'd rather lose a race in a car I built than win by a mile in a car built by someone else".
Nevertheless @larthal garage does look great from the other angle showing the cabinets and work space. No harm done, I have love for everyone!

Respect.. You can have all the coolest stuff and nice cars, but if you pay others to wrench on them and build them for you it loses a lot of credibility IMO.
Can't disagree more with what you said, driving cars and wrenching on them are two completly seperate things, credibility has nothing to do with that, some people have interest in both, some don't, simple as that.

Well some enthusiasts can't change their own oil. I understand paying others to work on some aspects of your car but I'm sorry if you are a "car guy" but can't turn a wrench or change a flat tire then maybe cars isn't your thing.

Unfortunately the internet has made eveyone an expert though because of what someone read that someone else experienced.

I have been looking at the these for my garage, but am concerned about their stability since the two sides are not connected. How stable are they? Do you feel safe working under the car? Thanks for any and all info on this topic.

Sorry, still disagree with you, there's many ways of being a car enthousiast and wrenching is just one of them.

It's close, but works just fine. Hits about 3/4 of both jack points.

Cool thread. I love my garage and enjoy seeing other people's workspace ideas. My garage was unfinished and I've DIY'ed the finished product including the epoxy floor.

My girlfriend bought me some new gladiator wall cabinet this year for Christmas - can wait to get them all hung.

Cool idea I've done is make poster from trips/pictures I've taken (see last pic). I also made a hose reel out of an old porsche three piece wheel that has a bent barrel.

911 project - vinyl wrap

New gladiator cabinets going in - I'm loving it

It's very stable, locking arms protect you from collapse. I place a jack stand or two under the car anyway...natural paranoia, not due to the device. I am thrilled with it and comfortable under the car, there is no movement whatsoever.

Great job on the garage, you can really see the difference from first pic to last. Love the P Car too! When will it be ready?

Thanks - those pictures are pretty much over the last year. Not much has changed for the garage itself - I'm just always shuffling things around and cleaning up when there is time. Epoxy floors rock for sure.

911 should be done in the next month or two. It's a matter of finding time to re-assemble the rest of the car.

+1 the epoxy floors are great. I Would have preferred to tile my floor but did the epoxy and have been mostly happy.

my garage isn't finished, so it looks like crap, but this thing is in it and pretty much takes up the entire two car garage.

DANG! SO CLEAN...and I wish my ceiling height was just about a foot taller...would love to have a lift so I could have 3 in the garage at the house at the same time...Takes forever to get the Diesel warm on winter mornings...but, as we all know - space in the garage has a pecking order
