Polyurethane Transmission Mounts
Been noticing a clunk/slap during shifting/clutch engagement in the transmission. Looking into replace the transmission mounts.
Anyone have any experience with Revshift Polyurethane Transmission Mounts? https://www.revshift.com/product-p/ptm-e9xm.htm Thinking of getting the softest one they have 80A. Only concerned about excessive NVH since i haven't really heard anything about these mounts. Or perhaps i should just stick with OEM? *******EDIT*********** Found out i broke my differential bolt... OE transmission mounts are fine, took mine out at 35k miles and they were like new. I replaced them with OEM ones anyways since I was doing work on the rod bearings.

Mine were in great shape at 75k. I’d say they are 10 year 100k items, unlike the motor mounts, which are more like 5 year 50k parts.

+1 on motor mounts being the more likely candidate for replacement to solve this. They wear out in 4 years 30k miles or so.

Thanks for everyone's input. Probably stick with OEM if i do need to replace them. If they are original they have about 78k miles on them.
My motor mounts were replaced a little less than a year ago when i had my rod bearings done. Probably about 8000 miles or less on them. Will probably take a look at those just in case |

Maybe look at your guibo, center support bearing and guibo, and your diff mounts. I doubt your 8k motor mounts or 78k trans mounts are causing the noise.

thanks everyone, turns out one of my differential bolt near the exhaust hanger snapped right off (Updated pic in the original post)
Do i need to remove the entire diff to replace this bolt? Or can i just extract the bolts, support the diff and slide the bolt in? Thanks |

Supporting the diff is fine. The loose part of the broken bolt should be no problem. The question is whether you will have the space to get the broken stub of bolt out of the subframe. Worth a try. If not, undo the other two diff bolts and support the diff as you wiggle it a little out of the way. You can loosen the subframe bolts to lower it an inch but would need longer temporary substitutes to lower it any further and even then those short rear brake line connectors that are in a difficult area to use a wrench will limit further movement unless disconnected. Beware the driveshaft also limiting diff movement — you may need to drop the x pipe, remove the heat shield and undo the center support bearing to gain some play.
