I agree—this may have happened due to shortcomings on the father’s part.

Not trying to defend Fox here but Newsweek seems to be the only people that think this was an accident.

I dunno...came up as the first article when I Googled. I find the whole story a bit suspect, especially since the kid apparently swam in after it to try and save it? Why would he do that if he deliberately sank it? Seems like most of the news sources are just copying the same article and some choosing to leave certain details out. Whatever. It's the Interwebs.
