E92 M3 Strange Cold Start Issue (No Codes)

Having a very strange issue when starting up the car ONLY when cold. Car cranks for a while and struggles to start. After starting once, car starts perfectly for the rest of the day. This all started happening when i replaced bank 2 throttle actuator with a rebuilt one. Please watch the video as is it hard to describe the startup. I'm full catless with tune and cold start delete.

So Far, I've replaced with a brand new AGM charged battery and registered. I will check to see if there is any parasitic draw, but it seems like voltages are fine. My start button turns off after 3 minutes.

I've also replaced pre-cat O2 Sensors and rechecked all hoses/plenum.

Spark Plugs were done less than 5k miles ago. I have a low pressure fuel sensor in the mail. I've checked both throttle actuator voltage and ICV voltage and all are within spec. Any thoughts? It's strange because it happens only when the car sits overnight. I can start the car again right after the first start and it's perfect.

Maybe you can try by changing the way you start your car. I used to have Cold Start issue (misfire all cylinders) even after I have new ignition coils and spark plugs installed. (http://www.m3post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1472069)

However, I solved the issue by waiting for couple of minutes before I start my car. No more misfire. You can compare both clips.

After

I started it today by leaving the car ignition on for a few minutes and making sure battery voltage is good. Same issue, and it even started in limp mode. I turn the car off and back on and starts right up perfectly with nothing. Only codes stored are

2b29 - manager monitoring moment
2b57 - engine emergency program activated

Do you get the error code description from ISTA-D? I used to check error codes in INPA but if I want to know the description of those codes, I will use ISTA-D.

I used carly. It turns out the code is thrown alongside with limp mode so it doesn’t help me.

This happens to me if I leave my car in the garage for a day. After initial start of the day it doesn't hesitate to start for the rest of that day. I don't have any codes or ever put into limp mode. Would love to know if its your low pressure fuel sensor that fixed it. Thanks.

Yup. I doubt it has anything to do with the tune though. I switch between multiple tunes a lot. I just haven't cared enough to look into it since it's not throwing codes. If the new low pressure fuel sensor fixes your issue I'll go that route too.

Car is finally throwing a code. 27CE - Fuel pressure
I've changed the sensor but code is still showing. Next step is to change EKP Fuel Pump Module.

Having the same issue, but keeping ignition on helped. Hopefully the pump.

I have a spare pump for sale if you want to try. I also have the regulator on the driver side as well.

Cheers man, but the shipping will cost a fortune
Have you replaced your idle valve already?

Where are you located? The units are fairly small. I ended up replacing my bank 2 actuator, idle control valve, and the fuel breather valve all at once. Problem seems to be mostly gone.

In my case changing fuel filter solved the issue.

Hi. Did you ever find a fix to this problem. I’m having the same issue. No fault codes at all. If I leave my car over night it won’t start for a while. Then once it starts it will start with no issues for the rest of the day.
