Wondering why this is an issue, the distance between you is not long at all...

I've been with my girl for a while now, and we see each other every weekend (we live 1.5 hours away from each other because of work). We don't have any issues.

If we were farther apart then there might be an issue, just because we wouldn't be able to see each other as often. I think it's good that we don't spend every waking moment together though, at least for now. It gives us something to look forward to (sex) every weekend and then some personal/private time during the week. We've talked about moving in together, so we'll see how that goes. Neither of us are opposed to it, it's just that neither of us (especially me) can just up and move right now. Within the next 6 months we'll probably be living together.

/end rant, but you get the idea... It can work depending on the people, and your distance isn't really that long...

At least in my exeperience. Was in a year long rel's and my gf at the time went to college up north at UC Davis. After our very first argument as a LDR couple, she immediately hopped on another cock. Although he wasn't anyone I knew, the best reason she had for why she cheated was I ignored her calls for a day after our argument and she said I made her feel alone in a far away place or some shyt like that.

Only way it makes sense is if you have spent a long time dating within close proximity. You would also need a date of when you will be back together.

It all depends on the situation TBH. Were you two going out for some time and (s)he moves away for work/school? Did you two just meet and she lives on the other side of the country.

A long distance relationship requires alot of trust in each other. And a phone card.

When my bf and I started to go out, he lived about an hour away from me (might not fall under what you are referring to OP), but it worked for me. We are still together 6.5 years later.
