2013 ZCP Jerez/Fox Red - Tis but a humble build

Hey All,
Was flipping through some car photos and thought it would be fun to post the progress on my E92 M3. Nothing special here, but maybe documenting it will motivate me. I have a long upgrade list.

2013 E92 M3
Competition pack
Jerez Black over Fox Red
~50k miles
DCT

I owned an E36 M3 for a long time. Super fun car - I eventually added an Active Autowerke supercharger to bump the power a bit. In hindsight, it was the perfect size and power for a fun street car.

I bounced around a bit looking for that same "magic":
* E90 335i
* E92 328i
* F22 M235i
* E46 330 ZHP (current daily)

The M235i was ... close, but I could never get past the steering feel. Size, power and sound were all spot on. The 6MT M235i would be an awesome daily driver, especially as they continue to get cheaper. I'm sure an M2/M2C would be fantastic.

When future civilizations dig up our fossils, they'll determine peak BMW was in 2005. The ZHP is my daily driver and puts a smile on my face all the time. I ain't giving it up!

So on to the M3. I bought the ZCP in early 2019. Immediately did BE rod bearings for piece of mind. Work was done by a reputable local shop - dropping the subframe at home was a bit too much:

Also, installed a Corsa exhaust within 150 miles:

Next up was a paint correction. Like many of you, I spent an unhealthy amount of time watching Obsessed Garage. Put my new Rupes to work with some products from Sonax, Jescar, etc:

ZHP was a bit neglected so it gets some love too:

Updated the M3 with some of the usual things along the way:

* Filters
* Plugs
* Painted reflectors
* Alpine motor + DCT tune
* Self-leveling wheel roundels (yes, it's worth it)
* Red start button

Added some cosmetics:

Perfect daily/fun combo. I had a ZHP before my e90, hard to think of a better all-around car.

Great looking car & pics.

I had a ZHP prior to my M3, still love those cars so much.

Looking forward to your next round of upgrades!
