2010 E92 M3 Coupe - Frozen Grey
Hey guys,
I am the proud owner of a brand new Frozen Grey M3 coupe. This is the first BMW i ever own. I just recently sold my B7 Audi RS4, and before that I used to drive a Golf IV R32 (not the new ones, which i don't like at all....I'm talking about the original grunty R32 that first came out back in 03/04). My best friend Marwan who is a member of this forum and an avid BMW fan and owner (he has an E92 M3 Coupe, a 4.8 X5 and a special edition 135....let's not even get started on what other beamers he's owned in the past which include an M5 and an M6) was one of the biggest reasons i sold my RS4 and picked up the M3. The way he used to passionately talk about BMWs and the M3 in specific made me wonder. And so here I am. My first impressions after diving the car for a little over two days are that I have definitely moved several notches up from what I used to drive. I absolutely loved and adored my RS4, a great car which I am sure many of you on this forum agree on. But the M3 is so much more than a great car. It's a refined masterpiece. Even at low revs and without being able to really get to know the car until i complete the 2000 km driving-miss-daisy phase, i am in awe of how amazing, refined and well built this car is. I feel so special driving it down the street. I'll post more updates soon as i get to know the car better. In the meantime, i have posted some pics of the car below. The car i bought was actually ordered by BMW middle east specifically for the Dubai International Motor Show which was held last month. And so these pics are of the car on the show floor. I will be taking some more pics of the car now that I have received it from the dealer in a few days. Would love to hear your feedback/comments/advice. P.S. Since it was already ordered for the show, i didn't really have a say in the options included. It comes with a sun roof instead of CF roof which is actually nice given the Frozen Grey roof color and the fact that it's sunny where i live pretty much 12 months a year. Also, no EDC so with the 19 inch tires its a pretty firm ride, not uncomfortable in any way though. Someone who posted about this previously on another related thread in this forum called it the "Purist" M3 combination (No EDC and 19 inch tires) Thanks ). |

Congratulations, looks superb. Would be nice to see some interior photos too. Did BMW tell you to do anything special to maintain the condition of the paint?

It's certainly "Unique" I will say that, congrats and good luck with the car.
I started off NOT wanting EDC and changed my mind and added it. I have driven both and NON is OK and represents "Normal setting" in EDC,so no real issues on the flat smooth stuff. PS) it looks like Palladium Silver leather interior, if so I have the same, looks great. |

Absolutely love it, I hope they do this with some other colors. Matte Black, Matte Red and Matte White come to mind. I wonder how it holds up over time- I remember this was a reason they delayed it.

Shihab, meeting sounds like a good plan, lets do it this week if you guys are free. And in the process you can teach us how to drift, since my tires are worn out anyways
