You tried with clay bar and polish ?

Honestly you should know first the cause of the situation ..
Can you feel it with your finger on the surface ? Is it on the surface or through the clear coat ?

yeah i can feel it. I'm not sure if its on the surface or clear coat? i tried m105 with a DA and still no luck.

Think you need a professional detailer to polish it out .
If he can't polish it out , you need a clear coat respray on your CF roof.

What pad did you use with your DA polisher? I haven't come across much that M105 and a yellow pad can't cut.

No problem. So there are various colors of pads that cut more/less than others and some that don't cut at all that are intended just to spread sealant/wax. I'm guessing you used an orange pad, which cuts pretty well, however you can get more cut with a more aggressive pad such as yellow. It depends on the brand you're using, but refer to this chart and that will give you an idea.

wet sand. Don't do it yourself unless you know what you are doing. the resin on the roof is incredibly hard, it took me *days* of wet sanding and buffing

Those look like water spots that have baked on and etched the clearcoat. As always, the process will be to start with mild remedies and work your way up to more aggressive ones.

I'd try chemicals like dish soap or white vinegar, then move up to clay bar, then go to a lightly abrasive scratch remover product, then try machine buffing with increasingly abrasive compounds.

If you are nervous or inexperienced, take it to a professional.

I actually just ordered the CarPro water spot remover chemical. It's the same guys that make Iron-X, a true miracle product for lighter colored paint.

I'll post in this thread once I try it out on Saturday -- the Admiral Blue paint on the Vette shows everything!

Yes, it works fine for mild water spots (e.g. after you washed the car or whatever). If the car got rained on, and then it sat in the sun for a while, you may need multiple applications or to go with something slightly abrasive.
