E92 Induvidual Audio - Many speakers out

I have just replaced my individual audio amp with a brand new amp after chasing down several issues with my sound system. The new amp solved some issues I had with crackling and the driver's door speakers.

However, I still have many speakers out. My subs aren't working and my rear deck speakers aren't working, even though they used to previously. They went out without any reasonable cause. Also, the passenger door card speakers are not working.

I have ruled out the amp now, which is what logically seemed to be the issue. Unfortunately, there's no reputable stereo shops in my area. Brought it to one guy and really just did not want anything to do with it. He ran some tests but didn't give me any valuable information.

Any information would be appreciated.

this can be a headunit issue but you need to diagnose it properly which is as simple as finding out whats coming out the amp. buy a volt meter and measure the voltage of the wires to each speaker coming out of the amplifier its easier to do it this way than having to take the interior apart and checking each problem speaker. check the wiring diagram below.

if you dont have a signal coming out of the problem speaker channels then you have a bad headunit, its a digital signal path from the headunit to the amp. if the signal path was bad you would have no sound at all.

Have you had the new amp coded to your car?

As E93M3-08 said above, if the new Amp hasn’t come from an identical model car (eg: another E92), then the Amp will need to be coded so it knows which car model it’s fitted in.

In turn, that tells the Amp how many speakers it needs to power and how much to send to each.

It’s the MAMP module, and easy to do with NCSExpert.

Interesting, I've had a similar issue for years after water ingress.
