Yes I know but the first one was just kind of an introduction. But to be honest the second one was also Not much happened so far. Hope that episode 3 will be more mechanical work and less talking

A new motor has to be sourced so we probably will not see another video for awhile.

What's also interesting is the rod bearings were replaced but they used OEM bearings so I am not sure if that's what led to the ultimate failure of the main bearing or not.

the history of that car after the accident is crazy. does that happen a lot with salvaged cars?

Yes alot of importers outside the US, bring cars from the auction and resell them there with a "clean title". Happens a lot

Have you noticed that the engine had no front crank seal but instead there was RTV paste? Some hardcore DYI and quite disrespectful to the engine

I've learned so much from this channel, I hope he does the interior door panel light bar replacement where you need to plastic weld on the new one.

This also has been thinking about main bearing replacement...

statistics will help us in this way of the darkness. there are much much less cases of main failures. no engines last forever

That block looks great now, as do all of the other parts he cleaned up.

Mahle 12.5:1 pistons and Schrick 284 sport cams will be great.
