Some Engine Disassembly Going on. Being very OCD about storage of pieces and cleaning most of it while working. Will fully break everything down before moving forward.

CNC Port matched throttle bodies, albeit a bit rough. Fairly large inlet ports.
CNC machined, clearanced combustion chamber. Everything is extremely straight forward and simple (and will be simpler when Im done).

PLanning what to optimize and what not to - most of it is great as is so mos of the work and money will go to rotating assembly and valvetrain. Porting and etc will probably not be done or necessary.

I want this to be easily repeatable and bulletproof - so part of it will be in keeping things simple and not overengineering while maximizing potential.

Finally got some fresh tires, corner balance and proper alignment.

Definitely more dialed in and precise, especially when tightening down the shock settings. 2.8 camber up front seems to be a good balance for street and canyon driving, and the minimal toe keeps it less darty on the freeway.

New tires are Michelin Pilot Sports as that was essentially only combo I could find with the right fitment. 265/35 front and 295/35 rear. Just a bit of rubbing on back, but its resolvable. The profile is now just right. In retrospect - shouldve done 18x10 in the rear to free up the tire options. Next round will be 18x10 square setup. Hard to beat the Titan7 in the elegance and simplicity department, especially with fat tires.

I love this! Will be following. I realized partway through this that you're Dmitriy at BBI. Not a bad day job

If I end up changing my suspension a similar MCS setup is at the top of my list.

additional question regarding the monoballs and solid bushings: are you noticing any exceptional noise from the differential?

Just a bit if I really listen for it. Otherwise not really noticeable or just washes out with general road noise. Id say the drivetrain and engine is noisy in general, its not like these cars are overly insulated or were intended to be refined.

I always enjoy the mechanical sounds!

Dialing it further. time for a second set of wheels and nice rubber.

The MCSs are great at whatever setting I have them at now (lost track, need to document) and the Brembo are always there.

Its coming together. will get updated wheel/tire combo for the track and keep pushing on the engine stuff.

Really need to tryout the GTS trans flash.

Race Technologies TS20 until they wear out, will swap to RE10s next round. Need a bit more bite and heat resistance. The TS20s are great on street though.

Have you tried Ferodo DS2500 pads? Are the TS20 similar to Ferodo DS2500?

Thanks,

Thanks,
I have not..
but here is a good reference! Looks like the TS20 is just a bit better, but probably very similar.
