Totally right on this point - whether we all like it or not.

The two keys are:

1) make the car good looking no matter what the means of propulsion; and

2) make the car fun to drive no matter what the means of propulsion.

Stick to these two "rules" and any car manufacturer can be successful (are you listening Munich)?

I'm sorry, but THAT just TOTALLY destroyed BMWs image and sexiness. That is one FUGLY ARSE CAR that I wouldn't drive if it were given to me. I'd be embarrassed to showcase THAT as a BMW. 😡

Maybe, just maybe BMW has a time machine and they know what the cars of the future look like.

Or they ended up in an alternate universe where Caitlyn Jenner is hot and the iNext is the best looking thing on the road.

Based on feedback on FB, forums, blogs etc I'm confident BMW will redesign it to the better. Meaning more conventional, toned down BMW look. But, parts of it needs to be futuristic and "new".

41% of all new cars sold in my country in November were BEV / fully electric... We need more alternatives NOW so hurry up BMW

In a misguided attempt to return to its humbly-unattractive 'Form Follows Function' roots, BMW has gone from Bangle to bungle (pronounced Bung Hole).

That's one universe I don't want to be a part of.

My question is: how many BMW executives looked at this design and approved it? How could the company let this POS design out the door? Why haven't they all been replaced?

As others have noted, the Audi design is so much better. Come on BMW...get with it!

when I see how beautiful the e-tron GT by Audi is, I seriously wonder what's happening with BMW's design

WHO is designing those concepts?
WHO is making the decision of accepting?

Here's some really bad news... official confirmation that the production iNext will look substantially like the atrocious concept when it launches, possibly as soon as 2021...
