Dream Venti...Dream Big has been my motto. Set your goal high enough that even if you fail to do so, you will be ahead of a lot of people that had smaller dreams than you. And of course, bigger the goal, the harder you try. Simple formula that hardly ever fails.

Well...most of you know my story, how I wanted E46 M3...then E90 M3 but just couldn't make it happen. I eventually made my E90 335i into very M3 look alike...some says I surpassed M3 in every category, some says I have the baddest E90 on this forum but one thing for sure, no matter how hard I tried, it couldn't rock the "M" badge...until Today.

Well, No I am not putting "M" badge on my E90 335i, oh no. No I did not buy E90 M3 or E46 M3...okay let me first show you what inspired me during my trip up to Northern California.

This clean E30 belongs to Nick@DetailAddict,

as you can see this car is flawless, clean, classy, simply modded yet very attractive...attractive enough to distract late year modded BMWs. I knew I had to get one. So as soon as I came back to Southern California, I started looking for E30 with help of LTBMW.

So I found 1988 E30...

but it was in a really bad condition...it didn't really bother me since I was gonna strip it down and rebuild the car.

So I said fawk it bought that car yesterday. As soon as I got the key from the seller, I sat down with LTBMW...what should I...how should I mod this car??...what did I do to my E90....M3 conversion. Yes, we decided to do whole E30 M3 conversion on this non M E30.

Next day, after I got to the shop we found out that this whole project isn't really a good idea since I will be spending tons of money putting M3 parts and restoring the car. Answer was simple, find the E30 M3.

So after LTBMW made few phone calls, I became the owner of 1988 E30 M3. BMW's first ever M3, and my first ever M car, I couldn't believe it. Last night I couldn't sleep just to thinking about how I am going to make this non M3 to look like and M3 but today I bought real E30 M3. Words can't express how I felt after seeing this beauty...

The owner of this beauty was suppose to drop V10 M5 motor in it but decided not to after picking up new project car. Lucky me. I'm officially an M3 owner driver

Yes it is missing the motor and transmission but already bought S50 motor and transmission

Yes I know it isn't the new M3 that I wanted but after talking to Long & Ivan, now I know how rare and sick E30 M3 truly is. And with help of LTBMW, I know this is going to be sick. Real sick.

I just wanted to share with everyone here on E90post since this is the forum that inspired me to go BMW route, best group of people

I can guarantee you guys that this is going to be a sick build because I am already "Dream Venti" on this project

I think you mean BMW's first M3, not first M car.. as there were others before it.

Very excited to see how this turns out! Lucky to find a roller with no rust!

Just to let you know venti is twenty in Italian not big! But love your choice of a new project! I also want to get an e30 m3! Good luck with it and can't wait to see more photos! Sogno grande amico!

Hey Im a Starbucks fanboy

Venti which is their largest size drink, I wanted to put something different as thread title instead of "Dream Big." So Dream Venti works in this case

If you really appreciate the rarity of the E30 M, put the S50 into your black E30, and drop an S14 into the M car.
