Question Adjusting Akrapovic tips

Can anyone please shed some light as to how I'm suppose to adjust the alignment of my slipon tips? The inner tips are higher than the outer tips. Are all four tips identical or is it possible I've the wrong ones in the wrong location? Otherwise I've already tried loosening and retightening the tips. Thanks in advance!

You need to loosen the clamps where the slip-on meets the midpipe and rotate the mufflers. Once you have the tips sitting how you want them, tighten the clamps back up.

actually there are 13mm bolt clamps attached to the slip on tip. loosen them and adjust.

make sure to tighten them down good.

i adjusted mine and one was supposedly a little lose and fell off when driving. luckily i found it few minutes later

Maybe i did something wrong but this was not as easy as just untightening the bolts. i tried to make an adjustment to one tip as it was sticking out maybe 2mm more than i wanted it to so i loosened the bolt till it was really loose...didnt take it out, but made sure it was loose...Well, the tip would not budge...it was like stuck on there solid..i thought maybe the metal would expand when the car was hot so i did wait 2 hrs for it to cool before i started...again, the tips would barely move....i couldnt slide it off, nor could i slide it inwards....i then just retightened the bolt. what did i do wrong? did the metal just expand and bond to each other?

Excellent guys, thanks for that. I'll give them a try a report back.

had my slip on installed last week and had the same problem initially. I had the shop adjust the hangers as well and rotate the passenger side muffler/can by loosening the clamps. It was only the right outter passenger side that wasn't sitting right

here's what mine looked like initially..I don't have a pic after the adjustment yet..sorry...

....we are almost twins with our set up

Titanium is extremely likely to gall, you MUST use the white lithium grease or the copper anti seize on EVERY joint and bolt on the Akrapovic. Otherwise, over time, they will gall and be really difficult to remove.

they do do this on the initial installation...so are u saying that if u loosen a bolt at a later date, u have to RE-apply the anti seize?

^ as long as there is a sufficient coating, don't worry about. I had mine on and off once, and I didn't reapply and there was still a decent layer. The second time I reinstalled it, I added more grease, as it won't hurt.
