Throttle Actuator Update-Euro Power Motorsports

It’s been approximately two months since we raised the core charge and that has helped tremendously with customers sending cores back quicker. But unfortunately, many people are still not sending their cores back quickly enough for us to fulfill all the new orders. Every month, our sales for TA’s are increasing. I’m atribuitng this to the fact the new VDO units are failing faster than the old gen ones. At this point, everyone pretty much knows that it’s a waste of money and time buying VDO or Genuine units. FCP Euro is also keeping us extremely busy and that’s not helping us with lead times.

Prepaid Return Labels

The lead times for the month of August has still been over a week unless someone reached out to us were in an emergency situation. I’m trying my best to to reduce this time to 2-3 days. For this to happen, I will start sending pritnted return labels (on the house) for each order. All you have to do is put your old cores back in the same box you received your shipment and stick the return label on. Hopefully, this will motivate customers to send cores back quiker.

Thanks a lot to all of you who have trusted me and have been patiently waiting for your orders. Thank you to those who privately and publicly called me out if I didn’t meet their requirements. You made me a better person and made me make the necessary changes.

Still Buying Used Units

October 2023 Throttle Actuator Update:


My mission since the start of summer was to decrease lead times to 3-5 business days. To accomplish this, I started off by raising the core charge. This did help but customers were still taking too long to send the cores back. Then I started sending free return labels with each shipment. It’s been a month since we started this but so far, it hasn't made a huge difference in the return time. I’m hoping that this will help in the future. On top of this, I’ve been purchasing every used unit I can possibly find at my price. I purchased more than 30 units last month alone and this helped decrease the lead times for us. My request to all of you is that please send the cores back in a timely manner so other customers do not have to wait for extended periods of time. This service will only work if we all do our part.

I also hired someone who spends 3-4 hours a day just calling and texting people to remind them to return their cores. Finally, I purchased all the used units I could get my hands on. With these changes, I finally have units on the shelf and I can ship them out within 24 hours of receiving the order. No more lead time at all.

Virtually, everyone agrees that EPM Throttle Actuators are the only
option when it comes to replacing TAs. I just always had a hard time keeping them on the shelf which led to some of you having to spend a fortune to buy inferior OEM units. You can now keep the extra cash in your pocket. I will do whatever it takes to keep units on my shelf and save you money and the headache of lead times. Got one of those pre-printed labels, sent the cores back got my refund super quick. This was more a peace of mind thing for me at 87k miles, but now I don't have to worry about it. Thanks, Abdul!

However, I consistently struggled to maintain stock, resulting in some of you having to invest significantly in subpar OEM units.
