engine air filter question

Are we suppose to get the engine air filter changed out at the 1,200 mile service? It says so in the manual, but my dealer won't change it. They say the CBS doesn't say it needs to be replaced.

I cannot imagine why a airfilter would need to be changed at 1200 miles

Indeed. The one called for was the 'microfilter' (or the 4 of them), which didn't make any sense to change either. But it's not on the list anymore.
