18x10F and 18x10.5R Apex ARC8
Anyone on here running 265/35 on a 18x10 up front and a 295/30 on a 18x10.5 in the rear for street and occasional track use?
I know Schirmer uses that tire size on their 10/11 E88's. I really want to go ARC8 and their lack of an 11 is throwing me off. Should I go 285/30 in the rear on a 10.5? That just seems like it's going to be a small diameter. Also just debating on 275/35 square on 10's all around but wondering if that much tire up front on the street is going to be a hassle. Any insight would be much appreciated! Thanks, |

I currently have 18x10 et25 (front), 18x10.5 et27 (rear) ARC8s. I don't see why 265/35 & 295/30 wouldn't fit--no need to go 285/30. I daily drive my car with 275 squared, it's not a hassle at all.

I ran the same on my BBS RIA 10+25 front, 10.5 +22 rear. Felt no issues and the tires were moved off my 10.5/11 E88 setup. On the street absolutely no difference even pushed on a little bit. I think it would take some near limit driving to find where a 11" rear would be better.
285/30 is supers super short, I wouldn't go down that road. 295/30/18 is already really short compared to OE. Let me also say that I picked up another set of wheels recently that are 10 front and rear with 275s and again on the street even pushed a little bit I can't feel any big difference. I suspect it's going to take driving on the track (or a bit too fast on the street) to really find the weakness in any of these setups.

I'm running this setup for trackdays and it works fine.
APEX ARC8 18x10 ET25 Front with TROFEO R 265/35/18 APEX ARC8 18x10.5 ET27 Rear with TROFEO R 295/30/18 If you have coilovers like KW clubsport you need a 5/10mm spacer at the front and some negative camber to keep the wheel arches safe. Nothing needed at the rear. No rubbing at all. |
