Passenger door not opening randomly from handle

So this has been happening periodically was wondering if there was a fix I could do or if anyone has seen this. If you pull the door handle on the passenger side the lock will come up but will not fully unlock and go back down. So basically you're stuck unless I unlock the doors from the center console or the key fob, which could be a pretty bad safety risk in case of an accident etc.

Door lock Actuator is on the way out. Replace it with a new oem unit.

Not sure if you ever fixed this issue as I have been having it ever so often.. Is it indeed the actuator?

More than a year ago, the door handle of the "comfort passage" on the right did not work. You can use the remote control key to open the right door. On the left, there is no problem with the "comfort passage" of the trunk, and there is no problem with checking the fuse. If the remote control module is damaged, the "comfort passage" of the three doors will not work. I think the problem lies in the right door handle. I found one on eBay, it is 07-13 BMW 328i 335i E92 right passenger side door handle comfort channel gray OEM, confirm the right door handle number is the same as my car. $49.05 plus tax. After receiving the goods, after 10 minutes of installation, the "comfort channel" on the right resumes normal operation.

Before you buy, make sure that the right door handle number is the same as your car. No programming is required, plug and play.

I just called the local bmw dealer and apparently there’s not a single CA jet black door handle in any of the warehouses in the US. They going to contact Germany to see how long it will take to order from there.

Sorry I feel like this response is re a different issue in a thread re comfort access,
My issue and the OP isssue seem to be a mechanical one as it’s like OP said. It’s periodic and it’s only in regards to when you try and open the door from the inside .. the double open just doesn’t seem to fully click.. you can feel the resistance and see the door lock go up but not fully up and of course it doesn’t unlock. You hit the center unlock button and no issue. Entering the car works every time, it’s just sometimes you can’t open from the inside.... really hope the OP fixed it and it’s. Simple fix. I don’t think it’s the actuator as all electronic ways to open work fine. Just the mechanic double open with the lever sometimes doesn’t..
