Passenger side mirror no longer tilts when in Reverse?

Hi guys, if just occurred to me that when I throw the car to reverse, the passenger side mirror no longer tilts down as it usually does.

Any idea why? And besides taking the car back to the dealership, anything I can do to fix?

Or maybe I've accidentally pressed something and disabled this feature?

I think the mirror switch has to be in the left position....I might have that backwards. Flip it and then try...

Try moving the left/right mirror adjustment switch to the other side

agreed the switch either left or right will make mirror tilt down i think left but dont recall. i never tilt down

You can enable or disable it with the switch in the door handle that goes left-right. You probably have it in the right position. Flip the switcheroo!

Maybe. But need it when backing into parking spot; I like to center myself...

On my first E83, this feature conked out and the dealer had to replace the side-view mirror on the right. On my second E83, the mirror jammed once but a little percussion maintenance freed it up again.

And that is with the selector to the LEFT, obviously.

It's even easier than that. Set position 2 seat memory to be exactly the same but with the mirrors set to both tilt how you want them. Next time you want to reverse into a spot that titled mirrors would help with, hit seat mem 2 button. Hit seat mem 1 button to return. WIN!
