Thanks for the feedback. Yeah first time. Yeah you can see in lap 1 and 3 a couple places where I definitely pegged at the gas pedal. And yeah over slowing is something I seem to forget in the heat of the moment - especially at new tracks. Lots of good stuff I can work on in May

yep it's a proclip as warp10 pointed out. It just clips behind the trim pieces. The top part comes with double sided tape but took it off so I don't damage the trim, and it doesn't need it.

I tried the 10lb velcro at first but it was still wobly (aim velcro'd to the clip), so instead I 3m taped the bracket to the clip. Rock solid.

Why'd you get the short version? My race height lever takes a good amount of effort to handle, so I can't imagine how terrible the shorter version would be, especially when driving on the street.

I'm sure you'll like it. Install is very easy

New AIM ECU update had DCT Temps. BMW_PT6 Version 2.00.02

Also has a few other protocols. Check your software.

I haven't tested but it's there.

Has anybody ran Michelin slicks? I was told they are similar to Pirelli DH's. Was wondering what pressure to run them at - I run the DH's at 31 hot, starting is usually 25 cold. Car is 3100ish.

It was there on the software that I uploaded a few months ago with my Solo2DL but it was not functional. I would need to check my software version to compare.

I've run new Michelin S9L (hard compound). That's an endurance tire. Not super fast, but you can run them FOREVER. They take 5-6 laps to really warm up. Not my kind of tire.

The Michelin S8L is the Medium compound. That appears to be faster and warms up quicker. I've seen a new set run on an M4 race build and it was putting similar times in as my Pirelli DH personal best times. I've never run them, but I would say from what I've observed, the S8L is the closest to the Pirelli DH.

There is an S7L (soft compound), but I've never seen a set live anywhere. And I've never spoken to anyone that has run them.

The Pirelli DH seems to strike a nice balance between being fast and being able to put in a decent number of consecutive hot laps. And they warm up fairly quickly.

Anyway, if I was going to drive a Michelin slick for general use, it would be the S8L----unless you really want an endurance tire, which would be the S9L.

I get my slicks heat treated by a race team . I didn't catch which compound it was. Love the DH, but they aren't getting stock in time for next weekend so I'll try these. Was told same pressure as the DH. I'll report back. I got the 27/65/18 which seems similar size to the 285/645/18 DH I run.

Thanks! IND sells the tow hook cover - really been liking it. At first I tried to tuck in the strap, but it would pop the cover out. So now I just let it hanggg.

Car has the aero on, brake fluid flush done, raised the car to nearly max height but it's still low, re-aligned. Seat will be another visit as we're waiting for parts.

Note to self: Castrol SRF turned motor oil brown after 9 events. Need to halve the interval! FCP Euro makes it easy too..

Those of you that have removed the carpet, do you know what the round nubs are pictured below are for? They protrude off the lower part of the rear seat bench close to the floor, and there is one on each side of the car. The only thing I can think of is that they help keep the rear carpet in place, but the car is already at the body shop so I can't analyze further.

I want to ensure it is okay to grind them off, as all other unnecessary brackets, pegs, posts etc. have been shaved off prior to going to paint.

Is anyone running a cool shirt? If so any particular recommendations/advice? AC is coming out... South Texas temps are starting to go up... trying to figure out it they are worth it & should figure into my build.

I run one. What kind of advice are you looking for? Buy a cool suit system (12 qts is probably enough) and corresponding cool shirt.

I have mine in trunk with an on/off switch.

I have a gutted E46M3.
