So much good info under the learn more sections that people should really look into to educate themselves. Very interesting reads

They're 380mm no?
I would assume yes they will clear based on the fact that these wheels are said to have been redesigned to specifically clear 380mm bbk.

Been a fan of APEX for 7 years, testing fitting since their days in the old warehouse at Livermore, I'll be in Q4 for the 19" arc-8's in brushed silver clear, probably be the first to have a set in Germany?

Those 19” weights are really nice for this price point. Or any price point for that matter. Nice work

Are those load ratings on street tires or R-compounds?

10" is fairly easy to fit, 10.5 requires coilovers with increased inner clearance and linear springs.

in the pictures, the new ARC-8 design looks subtly different than the old. the new spokes are rounder or thicker maybe? i prefer the old design tbh. im also surprised to see that the cast ARCs are lighter...

honestly I like the brush finish for either wheel but if they did brush silver for the cast 19"s and is still cheaper than forged, here's my money's

Thanks for the feedback so far! It's been hard to keep this stuff under wraps for so long, and we can't wait to start seeing them on more cars.

Both the ARC-8R and EC-7R forged wheels clear Brembo 380mm BBK's.

Click the "learn more" buttons in the OP to read up on all the features and benefits of our new forged line.

Absolutely. The articles are a must-read for anyone looking to educate themselves about wheels in general. We hope to clear up a lot of misconceptions that are still being spread every day.

Brushed clear was a long time coming, and in person it looks incredible. There may be other special finishes available down the road, but no definite plans at the moment.

Both the ARC-8R and EC-7R designs will clear the steel M4 brakes. The Carbon Ceramics will require 19” wheels.

Great question. These load ratings are based on JWL’s formula. That standard doesn’t differentiate between street tires and r-comps (no official standard that we know of does), so the shortest answer is street tires. We follow JWL as it allows for more of an apples to apples comparisons across many brands.

I’m 99% sure you’re hinting at the way Forgeline designates their load ratings. They use a factor to approximately discount the load rating for higher grip tires. We really respect that they do that. They do offer load ratings that are higher than ours.

The JWL standard for 19” 5x120 wheels is 1,521 lb. (690kg), and all our 19” flow formed wheels were made at 1,650 lb. We wanted to make sure our forged wheels were stronger so we’ve increased that to 1,900 lb. In the future we’ll release select race designs/fitments with much higher load ratings so we too can offer a broader range of load rating options.

There are nuanced differences between the forged and flow formed versions of the ARC-8R and ARC-8 wheel. You can spot them in the pics. The weights stayed relatively the same because of our focus on increasing strength first. We absolutely could have made a much lighter version if we made the strength equal to the flow formed version. People typically expect more strength when upgrading to forged. I don’t think they expect equal strength, and we made sure to deliver on that.

The EC-7R design features “I” beam spokes and that did help shed weight. Those wheels are lighter and stronger than the flow formed version.
