so i installed the new disc in my car. I cant tell any difference between between the old disc and new disc. I had the 2009 iso with speed cams. Was hoping maybe it would be a bit faster, or new colors or something. I know im probably asking for too much but who thought brown was the perfect color for the startup screen....

Based on my E46M3 nav, changing color or faster speed are more of Nav software (which E46M3 had a few updates) and new map disc is simply the maps. And not all locations are updated every year. So some locations are exactly the same as previous year. Usually, map disc website tells you which locations have been updated/re-worked.

I had the 2009 with CAMs too but I had problems with mine and so did a friend of mine. Search times on that version was a lot longer and it had some search errors too. Maybe it only affected users in certain areas? Burned a few copies thinking it was the disc, using a better media for the second burn, but result was the same. So i just switched back to the non-cam version and it went back to normal. This 2010 one seems a lot better so far, or at least it searches normally like an official disc. At least its originally made for a single layer disc.

Oh, silly question, not sure if it was there in 2009, in perspective view, were there always clouds in the sky? Never noticed it before. Haha.

Hey guys, I found a nzb of the 2010 maps. If anyone wants it I can post it up rather than having to wait to DL it via torrent. Assuming you have a decent connection and a good usenet server it'll be a lot faster.

ive tried a couple times to download this and it doesnt work, the little download box pops up and there is nothing there, any suggestions?

it's taking forever as not many seeds are available but it's about 1/2 way done so far.

Do you need a special program to download this? When I try to save it to my computer all I get is a small file that is like 67kb.

it's torrent file. You need torrent software to download. What he uploaded is simply seed file. Not the actual full DVD file.

I remember doing something of this sort for my 2005 M3 back in 2006. Can someone refresh my mind on the proper procedure? Is this something that is easier to do on a Mac? I have a Macbook at home and PC at work so that is why I ask. Thanks and hope to get some replies.

I downloaded it and it works!!!! BUT....
Sometimes when i turn the car on the Right side of my navi screen, I have to select it to show the Map or it keeps going to the onboard comp screen by default. With my OEM disk the map used to stay on that half of the screen unless I change it..
Anyone else with this problem?
