You don't need to remove the sensors. Just leave them where they are, they just won't be plugged into the new shocks. You don't need to do anything with the modules, if you are going to code EDC out.

Disconnect the EDC module after coding it out and that's it.

That’s the one in the boot yeah?

That’s why I’m asking. I left it plugged in. Do I HAVE TO disconnect it or will it be ok coding edc off while it’s plugged in?

Just saving myself taking boot trim out again unless I 100% have to.

I just did this a couple weeks ago after installing some Bilstein B8s and the EDC module is very easy to access even after your trunk liners are back in place. You just have to remove the tray that sits above the battery and then you can pull up on the insulation and access the plug. No liner removal needed.

edit: Now that I'm thinking about it I may have read that they moved the location of the module in the MY 2011+ cars

If you don't unplug the module after coding, you will still get an error. At least I did.
Unplugged left no lights or warnings after coding.

EDC module in the trunk needs to be unplugged. In the vehicle order, you delete the EDC VO $233 and write FA to CAS and NFRM.

In the KOMBI, set EDCK_ALIVE_ZAEHLER | EDCK_ID_MONITOR to nicht_aktiv
In the CIC , set EDC_CIC nicht_aktiv

Why pay for a module when this is far cheaper and removes EDC from the menus? Even coding someone will be cheaper than buying these units.

So I have my edc coded out and I'm getting this error CDB7 (receiving EDC status)

Also when I got my car back my comfort access stopped working don't know if this is somehow related?

Sorry reviving an old thread

I get the same error code on my P3 gauge from EDC coded out. Nothing to worry about.

As far as the comfort access issue goes, it probably needs to be recoded.

Thanks I'll not worry bought that code anymore hit another question? So I went searching for the comfort access module and found that the reason It wasn't working was because it was left unplugged. Now there is the blue cable which I believe is the edc module but also there is a white connector that is unplugged just wondering what that one is for or do I need to plug that back in?

In the picture it's the cable in between the blue and black connectors. TIA

EDC is white and blue only, leave those unplugged.
