Parking Brake On After Swapping JBE

Hey guys, so I went ahead and swapped mine to resolve some electrical issues I was having. So far all seems ok minus this warning light staying on. I can deal with it for now and am going to get it programmed soon and was hoping that's really the issue. Anyone have any similar experience with this? That rear harness was a pain in the ass and hope it's not an issue with the module itself.

How did you determine the part number of the correct JBE?

I got mine from Europarts.com and tells you for what model and year. The SKU is *61359364819‬ and it's Genuine BMW. It was around $375 when I got it two weeks ago but looks like it's running for $408 now.
The same SKU can be referenced on other sites.

Did it match the part number of the old one? Certain VO calls for different JBE.

I think there's 3 versions and every site I looked for the part, it was the same PN for a 2011 E90 M3.

Since I didn't really find much info on whether or not my issue was due to not programming after swapping the JBE, I wanted to confirm that it was exactly because of this. I had another problem I was not aware of like my windshield wipers not working due to this swap. My Comfort Access was also starting to get wonky.
So yea there it is, it definitely needs to be programmed. I also got my TAs done....IMG and Corry, the best

i have this exact same problem, new JBE which fixed all kinds of issues but now the parking brake light is on and stays on, i guess the new jbe needs to be programmed? but weirdly nothing on the internet about it and no one advertising they do it unlike the footwell module which apparently everyone does

hey JRV, sorry for being dense but how did you get it fixed?

If you are getting an used JBE from the same car but the updated version, all modules works fine without an issue. But Flashing the ECU with your VIN and default coding to your VO will definetly make your ECU to adapt specifically to your car.

Buying Brandnew definitely needs programming since the ECU doesnt know which modules installed on your car.

You can simply check your UIF by using the INPA to see which modules are On and Okay there.

Usually E92s using H2 and E93/91 uses H3 JBEs regardless of the JBE type. Out of all "M" Master is the best since it has all High Low Type connection BMW ever made!
