I never realized we could edit the tags either.

Looks like we need a "report abuse" link. Also, IHMO, it would be nice if there was a way to see who added the tags so as to discourage abuse.

The little red/black/white exclamation point is basically a report abuse link for any given post. It is in the left hand column next to every post. Admins say every report via this mechanism will be read and addressed. Cheer.

That's for posts, not for tags

Without knowing who made a tag, you can't report it. You also cannot report tags

^^^ What he said. I know about the "Report Post" button, swamp, but we really need the same thing for tags. I can just report the first post and put a note about the tags, of course, but that's somewhat kludgey and means more work for mods.

Update; basically talking to the gm was a waste of time. Dealing with the dealer was a waste of time. Consult a lawyer and he said there's a case, so have to sue the dealer and take this whole thing to court and see. I'll keep you guys posted on how everything turn out. But in the mean time don't waste your time going to this dealer. Like I said in the thread "they're a bunch of thieves".

I've gotten 2 BMWs from Valencia BMW

Both were at a couple hundred over invoice

So I've had a good experience with them.

Though I prefer the service from STBMW, I've never had a bad experience when getting a car for myself/family while at Valencia BMW

We're able to see who added which tags, so when you see some abuse just report any post and mention you're reporting the tags. We'll take care of the rest then.

Best regards,
south

Bump for update.

Also, going to the police will be of little help. Once OP tells them that he put down 20k in cash that he never withdrew from a bank nor did he receive a receipt, his credibility is gone.

Much better to pursue it civilly where you have a lower burden of proof and don't have to prove criminal intent.

I talked to the guys at Valencia and they knew about this right away. This is what they told me..

The finance guy said that one of their guys was doing the paperwork and everything and it was his 1st day on the job. He said he completely forgot to get the down payment so he called him the next day and he told him on the phone that he would come the next day to pay. But he didn't go, so they called him again and he said he signed all the papers and he payed and tried to get away with not paying 20k. So they said their going to reposes the vehicle, so he drove down to the dealership and called the cops.

The cops asked him where the receipt was and if there is any proof you took 20k out of the bank. He said no, so the cops called the towing company and took the car. They said that he tried to get away with not paying the 20k, but was co-operative on the phone when they told him they never received it and told them he was going to drop it off the next day.

In my opinion.. what happened was he left with the car without paying down payment, tried to get away with it, failed. Got his vehicle repossessed and now its on his record so hes a little mad it failed.

FYI: I just bought my new e93 alpine white m3
