The First Monte Carlo Blue M3 in the U.S.

After a four month wait, the first Monte Carlo Blue M3 in the U.S. is finally here.

This is my 3rd M3: a 2005 Silver Gray E46 Coupe (6MT), a 2008 Space Gray E92 (6MT), and now this. Even though I just got out of the 08 M3, I feel like I'm in an entirely new experience. DCT for the first time might explain that. Many thanks go to Jim (GOLFFRR) and Ryan Amico of Steve Thomas BMW. Both were incredibly helpful in making this car happen. I was as surprised as many people here were that they got me approved for MCB, a color that had been denied to every U.S. customer in the past.

Here are the parts that are either already on or coming from my last car:

EAS carbon fiber mirror covers
Eisenmann Race
Euro bumper
Keyhole cover delete
KVVW coilovers
Matte black kidney grilles
Matte black side grilles
Performance splitters
Performance rear spoiler
PY24W LED turn signals

A bunch of people here have PM'ed me asking what the car looks like, so I took a few photos of the car in less than optimal conditions (dirtied and on a cloudy day). Halfway decent photos are coming after I detail the car this week. MCB takes on more appearances in different light sources than any other color I can think of. Dark under the clouds, but light and vibrant under the sun. My last M3 was Space Gray, and you could expect it to look the same no matter the lighting.

I have pagid yellows, Apex wheels, and R comp's coming in preparation for this years track season ( once the snow melts - 8 more inches this weekend, yech).

Oh, sorry to pop your bubble, but there are already several MCB M3's in the US, a couple of which are on the forum its still one of the most gorgeous colors though

I picked it as I had an Estoril Blue BMW before and I really liked that color

I think they haven't offered this color directly in the US before. Canada has had it as a special edition so it could have been imported that way. I think Eclipsis was the first after BMW Individual NA changed their minds in Oct.
there is a E93 coming to someone in Co. in april too that I know of ( 1 a month .. big production run).

Amazing Color! How does it compare to Estoril in different lighting? Estoril is by far the best color ever created by BMW IMO. I actually am going back and forth with Ryan from Steve Thomas BMW about getting into a new M3. How much extra does this color run you and can I readily get this option as well?

You'll freak out when you see it all set up at the PC. They'll have it under lighting that'll make MCB pop.

This is the 1st MCB M3 on U.S. soil according to BMW. There are several other MCB cars on order, but this is the first into the country.

You've gotta come see it! As soon as I detail mine we've gotta do a shoot, I just bought a Canon 17-40mm just for thjs shoot!
