Fuuuuuck me!!!
Just got my car back and all installed;

Rainy weekend here to, but dry enough to give it a little go here and there!

Cant believe how OEM this kit feels, noise level is so quiet I can hardly hear it.
Drive 100 kms so far and was also stuck in traffic jam on highway for about 10kms. Car was perfect.

Cant wait to really give it a go

04/24/2010 UPDATE:

Post break-in review:

I couldn't really wait for the full 200 mile break-in so I did a few short runs tonight after I got 120 or so miles on the Supercharger I must say the car drives like stock untill you really stomp on it. I haven't drove with the DSC off because we've been getting a little rain here in Hawaii The car pulls hard enough to spin my rear 295 PS2s when shifting.

My first two runs were with a GT-R35 that had a tune, IC pipes, and full exhaust ... I got walked but it was fun. I started in third for the first run and then went down to second gear for the next run. When I shifted up to third on the second run the rear spun a little but it didn't really matter cause the GT-R was gone. I tried to get a few runs in with a stock E92 to really compare the two but that didn't really work out well due to rain and timing of the run.

Things I noticed:

I noticed a few thing and one was that my oil had dipped down a lot. I started the day with it being 3/4 full and by the end of the night it was down to 1/2 ... I did plan on getting it topped off and I know this motor burns a lot of oil but I didn't think it would burn this much in such a short amount of time. I did do a few hard but short runs ...

The second thing that I noticed was that my MPG got way higher. I use to get 14MPG on the freeway now I'm getting 16-17.5MPG and thats with me punching the car here and there. I got as high as 18.5MPG on the freeway with me driving like a grandma. My city MPG was around 10-11MPG on i'm getting 13-14MPG.

A few questions:

I was so excited to finally get some runs in that I didn't realize that I didn't have the M mode on untill I was driving home. I know this may sound like a stupid question but is there a defference with it ON or OFF even with the tune and supercharger?

Questions for those with this ESS Supercharger ... Are you burning a lot of oil? Did you ever think of putting in a catch can?

Next on the list:

I did three runs on a DYNOJET back in Feb when the car had a Gruppe M intake and an Arqray Ti axle back exhaust. My highest run was 347.42rwhp and 254.21tq. I plan on doing some runs next week at the same place so I'll keep you guys updated on how it goes

Oil consumption should not change much at all. You might have been right between 3/4 and the 1/2 mark before installation. The system is designed so that there is no need for an oil catch can.

M mode will not make a difference in power but the pre-set options such as DSC and throttle mapping will still work the same. To keep the car from limiting power during hard acceleration it is best to have DSC off unless conditions are poor.

Your oil consumption will lessen with the car being boosted , mine did ....
And my car feels stronger , sharper with M mode on ...

Get a catless xpipe and you will pick up juicy ponnies about 20 to 25 of them ....
I'm dieing to catch a GTR.....

And to BobG isn't it amazing how stock it drives feels and looks..... Now you how refined ESS's tuning is !!!

The GT-R that I ran with was fast ... I think he said 590+ to the wheels It made me think about selling my car or running the VT2

I'm running the fulll Ericcson system now that has 100 cell cats ... I was thinking of going with a catless one res X-pipe but I didnt want the car to stink cause its my family car

I did a full oil change and filter even though I have 5000kms on the odo. I am a bit OCD with oil changes every 5k or so.

I drove with M power button off first and the power was cutting with wheels spinning. With M button, and DSC on M Dynamic it allows some spin and sharpens the accelerator feel. I always drive like this, unless it's raining.

Car is unbelievabe! ESS have built a really special kit. I have had virtually every porsche GT2, 3, turbo and a Ferris CS. I can possitively say that this now my favourite car of all time

akrapovic sounds fantastic with the extra volume of air heaving throgh it.

A full movie is in the wings, stay tuned
Suzie is very very jeolous, I am sleeping in the garage tonight

buddy, a VT2 is a no brainer at this point
the intercooler is really sweet, I like the silver look through the front grill. Cooling is very efficient and the electric pump really circulates the charge coolant very quickly.

I'm not sure my reletive boost with the 95mm pulley, but I was recalculating and the loss is 17% at 5000ft, so if I take 6,5psi and multiply that by 0,83, I get 5,4psi, which is just right.

Will dyno next week to be sure.
I'm sure roman can have the VT2 parts to you pretty quick

It will take more than a VT2 to keep up with that GTR. Just remember somebody is always faster and at least you don't have to worry about your tranny going out like he does.

I agree. The Akrapovich got meaner once it started having more air pushed through it. Just reving it up sounds different.

VT2 is in order my friend along with catless exhaust and you'll be in business
I highly doubt the gtr is putting 590 to the wheels with a chips and exhaust , the most i think they can gain is 50 to 60 whp over stock

The GTR can easily make 50 whp with just with the Cobb Accessport. Downpipes, mid-pipe, and exhaust will add another 50 whp. Check out AMS's website for more info:

Doesn't the gtr dyno at 430whp ?? Even if you add an extra 50 whp your still under the 500whp mark , not saying the car is slow by any means .... It's a boat ( heavy ) ...
I would never race it from a dig , I would do a 2nd gear to maybe top of 5th , with the vt2 catless it would be a good run ...

430whp + 50whp (Cobb) + 50whp (Exhaust) = 530whp
