$7,500 BMW Rebate on Leftover '08 M3's!

I thought I'd pass it along that BMW recently released a $7,500 rebate on the new '08 M3's still sitting on lots. My dealer said that it's new enough that most probably aren't aware of it yet. I bought my '08 today new with 200 miles on it for $49,900 + TTL! This is a great time to be buying if you're in the market and can afford it!

Wow, that's cheaper than a 335.

JESUS!!!

Son-of-a- . . . . .

I KNEW I should have waited another month! Man I wait two months to get a better deal on mine which I just got at beginning of Feb (can't believe it was actually there that long since it's IB!).

That might explain why someone PM'd me asking me where I got my car since I've mentioned a few times here that they still have FOUR 2008 M3's left

Does that mean you can get an 08 M3 for $7500 under invoice?

Were you able to get the 2.9% ?

This also represents an additional $7500 loss in value on top of all other current discounts and natural annual depreciation for everybody else that bought a 2008 M3 before this trunk money showed up...

Congratulations from now on for buyers of the M3... for everybody else, well... the economy finally has tanked the M3.

The $7,500 rebate is in addition to any other discount that the dealer wishes to give. Their first offer was invoice of $64,395 - $7,500. I told him that if he can get the price down to $49,900 I'd take it. So, I signed the sheet at $49,900, and he went to the managers. I had a print out of the EXACT same car that I did a buy-it-now on from eBay at $49,900 this morning but the dealer would not honor (long story, separate thread). His manager would not match the price, but he went over his head to the GM and he said sell it! BMWNA doesn't have any special finance offers with this deal, but I got a 3.99% interest rate for 60 mos. from Pentagon Federal Credit Union! www.penfed.org I checked it out this morning after reading about it on m3post. I paid the $25 to join, and I was literally approved within minutes after submitting it online. I will have the check tomorrow in time for a pickup in the afternoon.

Call any of the dealers! They all should have the info from BMWNA. Just tell them that you heard about the $7,500 rebate on '08 M3's and wanted to confirm. The dealer in Savannah, Georgia that would not honor my eBay purchase (sold the car out from under me!) still has a new sedan posted up on eBay with a Buy It Now of $49,900. I agree that this further devalues M3's in general, but it will make for a smoking deal for the few that can take advantage of it.

I cannot believe that the "$69,745" MR/Bamboo 2008 Coupe specials are still available. There was one beside my car at the dealer when I bought mine in late September and around 17 all over Florida dealers at the same time.

That's almost $20,000 under sticker... enjoy!!!!

WOW! Great news for people getting 08s. Hopefully there will be something for the 09s when my car comes.

Just think about it. What will dealers do when they know there is a rebate on the car?

I got a quote from a dealer like this, "MSRP $68420 less $4922 our discount less $7500 rebate". They advertised the car at 55998. I got this quote a week ago and I think the dealers just eating up the rebate. This rebate just give you a better chance to negotiate a little bit more.

This is definitely amazing for anyone in the car market for an M3 now. I wonder if/how this will affect production/pricing of the 09 M3's.

WOW! great stuff.

so is there a link online to current 08 inventory around the country, or is it a hunt from dealer to dealer?
