Bumper scuffs

Just got my m3 and the Previous owner had a love affair with curbs. It's not much but it annoys me. A new bumper is out of the question because of price so my question is would touch up paint be enough or am I looking at a new paint job here. Second picture is the worst with the stress cracks and also the lower bumper pushed in and looks like one of the mounting tabs is broken.

A decent body shop would fill/paint it, but almost the same cost as a new bumper.

Given how small those are, and how low they are on the car, I don't agree that the price would be as much as a new bumper.

With proper masking, prep, blending, and color matching, they should be able to do that for a few hundred bucks. Will it look as good as a brand new freshly painted bumper? No. But are you going to be crouching down and staring right at that tiny area very often? Also no.

Then again, the compromise might be to just get the whole bumper resprayed if it shows other signs of aging like rock chips or whatever.

Might be a regional thing... paintwork is nuts over here.

I'd just touch it up honestly cuz I'm cheap. My bumper has spider webbing from a previous paint job with bad prepping. Unless you are close you cant tell and a good detail makes them even less noticable.

Alpine white cars seem to mask alot of imperfections well.

I'd touch up or just leave as-is.

Add a CF lip to draw the eye away from it. Mine is the same way... PO decided to run up on every curb in existence.

front bumper is always a topic of discussion in my biz. I am constantly advising my customers against repainting the front bumper for small dings and scratches, as rock chips, driveways, random debris on the highway are going to take their toll.

However for some people they just cant stop looking at the imperfections, so if you are going to pay to have the bumper repainted, mite as well go 1 step further and have it wrapped with PPF after the repaint. That way it will look newer alot longer.

Does it really bother you? Touch up and move on! Is it a daily driver? Things will happen that are out of your control. Save $$$ for other mods.
