I ordered a bottle of SRF from Amazon. The compressibility thing sounds like BS for a car with a brake booster.

maybe something in SRF that's managed to achieve a spot on the human carcinogenic substance list and they're in the middle of a changeover to a substitute. When it's cagey like this, from a long-running specialty product, and it's a propriety petrochemical formula, that's sometimes the case

I had an amazon vendor cancel my SRF order a few weeks ago. I'm just using the AMSOil I had laying around.

Heres yesterday at MSR Cresson with the SCCA TT guys, car is in TT3 trim. You should come out it uses standard Autox classing so I bet you would do great.

haven't been here in ages.

SRF is going away? I went with Endless a while ago, they are better for sure.

No don't say that! I love my SRF!

I’ve been using Project Mu for three years with good results. Bleeds every pad change and annual flushes.

I have 15 track days on my current srf with no bleeds, and stock calipers. Still performing great.

I spent around 1000 on SRF in the past month, I bought everything I could get my hands on and now I'm good to go for a couple seasons.

As long as someone makes SRF I'll buy it, even if I have to ship it here from Europe.

Life is too short to be bleeding brakes every event.

I’ve been told my bleeds are excessive by the guys that race with it. I have no doubt SRF is the best option, just throwing Project Mu out there again if the SRF does actually go away.

Switch to Endless instead of shipping from Europe. You might find the pedal feels better as a bonus. Same thing, I don't bleed it for a year.

Switching topics slightly, decided to switch to Carbotech XP12/XP10 pads at the advice of KNS and my driving coach, Scott Adams. Been having issues with the ABS intervening too much (and at random), which makes me think the Hawk DTC-60s have too much initial bite.

Price was about $560 shipped for a set of fronts and rears. I figure if I don't like them, I'll try the Raybestos ST43 which was the other recommendation.

Anyone here have experience with Carbotech? Thoughts on the 12/10, specifically initial bite and modulation?

Nonsense. SRF won’t go away. F1 teams use it.

Anyone doing MSR Cresson with Chin this weekend? I'll be there both days, getting coaching on Saturday from Scott.

curious on this - endless' wet boiling point is about a hundred degrees lower than srf's, but no issues?

I'm sure it's not going away, but there have been periodic shortages in previous years where it's hard to come by

KNS told me Castrol underestimated the demand and basically ran out. No information available on when production would resume and when it would start getting to retailers again.

Also possible that some key ingredient is seeing shortages as well. SRF's formula is quite unique.
