How much body roll?

*if this is better suited for the technical forum, please move*

Getting on / off highway ramps with EDC set to Sport (2 lights on, and I have ZCP), I can feel the body roll if I'm going a bit fast.

My question is, how much body roll do you feel in the car's stock form? It's such a subjective question, and it depends on a lot of factors, I understand.

I've searched, but most threads about body roll have been about body roll complaints, or what upgrades have reduced roll. Much fewer discussions have happened regarding how much body roll there is in the M3, and I think it'd be helpful to hear what others are / have been experiencing.

Or, if you know of helpful links out there, please point them out. Thank you!

Hey Young,
tricky question to obtain comparable answers to I guess but still interesting. What about differences in body roll between the EDC settings, do you notice them as significant?

Body roll can be very beneficial to grip. If the chassis is too stiff and you dont have the right tire, you will reduce grip. Too much roll can have negative consequences as well. I find that EDC on sport with H&R springs controls my car well, with maybe a mild sway bar upgrade to make it perfect for my driving style.

The general rule is, the stiffer the suspension, the stickier the tire.

I don't notice much body roll at all in the sport setting. My car stays pretty flat in hard cornering.

yes.
and just to add one more, the more sticker tire, you better have good brakes to match them tires on straight + hard cornering

Correct me if I'm wrong but I was under the impression there's only 2 inches of travel in the front suspension before you hit the bump stops.

Bump stops are used to increase the total spring rate under hard compression... They are not there to stop or limit suspension travel.
